Yes love the guava lotus!! So light, so easy to set up & break down! |
|
| I have two keekaroos and to me it’s worth it because I’m not washing changing pads every time baby pees or poos on it which for us happens a lot ! |
I feel like this baffles me. I’ve had three kids, My youngest is 8 months, I’ve had a boy and girls and I feel like there have been only a handful of these incidents. Do you take a long time changing them or something? |
I have boys and nobody’s ever pooped on the changing pad. Pee only a few times when they were tiny. |
|
I just got it with the bassinet attachment... I haven’t set it up yet but I love that it’s multi-use! Couldn’t decide between Guava or Halo for the bassinet but the Guava travel crib looks great so that was my deciding factor. |
We inherited a Halo Bassinest and I actually hated it so much I went out and found a used Arm’s Reach Co-Sleeper. Much easier to get baby in and out of, much easier to put sheets on (Halo is a weird shape with envelope sheets). With the Halo I couldn’t reach over the side to soothe baby plus it has massive legs to trip over. |
Yea, this is weird to me, too. Two babies, and I really don't think either of them has peed or pooped on the changing pad....? |
FTM (due next month) and I feel like everything I read online tells me to get the rubber changing pads like kekaroo because it’s easy to wipe up all the messes, but I much prefer the regular kind of changing pad because they look so much comfier for baby! I’ll take your word for it (and PP’s) and just get a regular changing pad with a cover/some of those waterproof liners. Hoping it’s true that there aren’t TOO many huge messes on them. |
| Not at all related to the items you asked about (except the travel system) but I’m 3 months in as a FTM and would give up so many name brand things I just “had to have” for just my Doona. We’ve had a lot of doctors appointments and it’s such a huge help. Many things I would say were not worth buying, but the Doona I would pay much more than I did for the convenience and ease of getting around. Errands are actually enjoyable with a 3 month old. |
We did have a lot of messes in the newborn days. More pee than poop, but DD was EBF so her poop was quite liquidy and would spill out of the diaper as we were taking it off. That being said we had a regular changing pad and we were fine. We just used the liners (like these https://www.amazon.com/Munchkin-Waterproof-Changing-Liners-Count/dp/B009UPUJIY) so when there was a mess we just through that in with the dirty clothes and put on a new one. |
Pampers are fine. I prefer cloth diapers, but Pampers are my back-up. Graco Pack n Play-- I actually prefer their most-basic version, but with bassinet. I have the one that has all kinds of accessories, including a napper, changing table, and frame for the napper, and I don't use any of those accessories. I prefer the FP bouncer. I have a Vista stroller and LOVE it. But I would never use it with a carseat (travel system). The carseat stays in the car. It should never be used in a stroller. I have a Keekaroo, but 75% of the time, the babies just get changed on the floor or on a bed. Just throw one of the 100,000 receiving blankets you'll get on the floor or bed, and change the baby there. I have no idea if my babies' cribs and dressers are GreenGuardGold Certified. |

Yes to the uppbaby wool versions and greenguard gold solid wood furniture. We've been happy with a naturepedic mattress. We did the nuna sena aire and nuna leaf, too.
No exp with the keekaroo. We got everything early and let it air out for quite a while, a month or more. |
