Alison Roman slams Chrissy Teigen and Marie Kondo in interview

She sounds really bitter.

So many other people she could make the same points about but whose success doesn’t seem to bother her.

She showed us WOC how she really thinks. Meanwhile Alison the trainer chef repackages Asian cuisine, waters it down, and sells them as her own!

I don’t see Chrissy trashing other women for their success. Alison Roman messed up big time.

Gotta call BS. Celebs are not chefs. Alison Roman is a trained chef. Lynne Rossetto Kasper wrote her own cookbooks and didn’t whore herself out with a Target line built by Chinese child laborers like Chrissy. She has no moral authority here.

Looks like Alison found this thread.

Gotta call troll. Just bc you can’t cook doesn’t mean a celeb isn’t a chef. And by the reviews and ingredients of Alison’s dishes, she wasn’t trained well enough.

I think it was deliberate. Trying to get attention by calling out the kind of lifestyle shills that so-called
“basic” women typically like.

Chrissy is annoying in that “hahaha aren’t I JUST LIKE YOU?!” way and Alison is just another privileged white lady who is about as interesting as lukewarm tap water and dry toast.

Alison Roman has her own cookware line coming out this fall. Guess she’s whored herself out by your standards. Enjoy looking dumb.

No idea who Alison Roman even is, but I do know that Tiegan is annoying as hell. So, I'll just go with that.

She wasn't trained at all. Alison worked in pastry.

Its a far different world than Asian cuisine. One 6-week trip to Vietnam does not give her culinary expertise that it takes trained cuisine chefs a decade to perfect. Have no idea why the NYT is all over her.

After this - probably not.

Interesting that she called out Chrissy and Marie Kondo for the same thing though.

You realize that is EXACTLY what she was criticizing an Asian woman for doing though right?

Nope. I don’t particularly like Alison Roman, either. But I am skeeved generally by the mass consumerism of the American public, the food network, and pseudo-celeb chefs. Chrissy Teigen is not a chef - her food is crappy - and this is the same critique I would make of Sandra Lee, Rachel
Ray and sundry. Marcella Hazan, she isn’t.

That's a shock.

But you are blind to the fact that Roman only called out a certain subset of people. Wake up.

Yes, but the point is Alison Roman didn't call out Rachael Ray or Martha Stewart or Sandra Lee or Wolfgang Puck or Gordon Ramsay or Bobby Flay.

Why do you think she went after Tiegen and Kondo and only them?
