Marylanders — Why aren’t you mad as hell at Governor Hogan?

And again. He’s doing better than the president.

yes.. like preventing more people from getting this serious virus and more dying.

Utility companies here have agreed to suspend shut offs. I have a feeling mortgage companies will follow suit, and there will be some kind of direction regarding rent payments.

Look.. a lot of people are indeed suffering, but we don't need to compound the suffering by making more people sick. Imagine if half he workforce gets the virus and can't go to work due to illness.

+1, my complaints are local with MCPS, not Hogan. I think he should have shut down things sooner but he was probably waiting for fed's for direction. Not sure what more you want him to do.

Set the bar a little higher, will you?

Maryland is leading the region in the number of cases.

This guy scares Democrats.

I'm a democrat, didn't vote for Hogan, and he's doing better than most other governors and definitely better than the current President.

Really glad he has put in the restrictions he has; the infection rate will continue to go up for a while, but Maryland has had no deaths yet. In the meantime, GA has had two deaths, very little in the way of restrictions, and state employees are still be forced to go to work and not telecommute. Same in VA. I have friends in both states.

So let’s fire them all preemptively instead because restaurants were forced to close down and offer takeout only? The negatives outweigh the positives IMO, but we can agree to disagree on this. I’m stunned by how many people have already been laid off from their jobs and this will continue to compound from here into a massive crisis way bigger than this stupid virus, IMO.

It is going to take people years to recover, if they even do, even if lenders and landlords and utility companies are forced not to act upon non-payment. They’re not going to forgive the debt! It’ll still have to be paid.

I think hogan has been doing a fantastic job. I’m very happy that I live in MD in the current pandemic.

What would be nice is to have all the governors and mayors from Boston to DC work together. The virus has spread easily as we are densely populated and so intertwined.

You don’t understand science and viruses. No one can stop them from spreading. They are not anyone’s fault. Governor Hogan has done a magnificent job of stepping up to try to restrict transmission from person to person - but people complain as they don’t bother to learn about it either. This should have been national action but Trump left it on the shoulders of local government as the fed is totally unprepared. They don’t believe in science either.

I think Hogan is doing an excellent job, especially considering there is a large population of rich senior citizens in MoCo who are international travelers, and didn't bother to self quarantine when there were no available tests.

You're insane. Hogan has done a way better job.

? MD is doing ok.

Hogan can't control a virus, but MD has had zero deaths so far. VA has three.

OP is just trying to stir the pot, but failed miserably. Even the uber liberals on this forum are mostly satisfied with Hogan's response.

I think Hogan is doing a good job. MD has been one of the leaders nationally in terms of taking action. It seems like a high number of the MD cases are travel related, which isn't something the state could have controlled at that time. It also seems like people in MD are taking things seriously.

He’s doing a great job.

Agree. Not a Hogan fan generally, but he's doing a good job. The fact that we haven't been able to test is not on him.
