I’m 33 and just started dating a 47 yo

Just enjoy the relationship now. If it works out long term, great. It's not like you need to decide on "the one" in order to have more kids.

Nobody can tell the future. My dad married two women 15 years younger, and one died and the other was severely disabled while he is still kicking at 80+.

That said, I wouldn't go out of my way to date a man 15 years older because I don't want to be a caretaker. If he were truly truly amazing, maybe.

I'm 55, have visible abs, bench 300#, and have a very high libido. I don't have to settle for 40 or over.

Funny. I was at the pool and a dude flexed and said guess my age. I said 60? He was 57, "6-pack abs" but damn bitch, the skin and the chicken legs and the hair... You think u look 40ish...nah. That's men's ability to be delusional about how they really look.

Enjoy your tick rock the clock is ticking date. It amazing what women will settle for when they want a baby.

ED meds at that age likely mean other vascular issues. It’s not a given that a healthy man needs meds at 45, 55 or even 65.

It highly likely... 50/50.

My parents were 10 years apart. My dad wound up outliving my mom - she died at 63yo. and he died 10 years later, at 83yo. They really loved each other.

Me too. Cue the law and order sound. Where does he live? I have an 8 year old and I’m 35.

Not for healthy men. It’s highly likely for folks with issues.

Keep telling yourself that. ED is more common than you think. Ask any urologist. Also, if he has high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, take antidepressants, etc. All very common as you age, they will have ED issues.

Those are not healthy men. Men who are in shape, have decent cholesterol, no psych meds don’t have problems with erections. Prostate issues may kick in as they enlarge in almost all men but even there diet and exercise can make a difference.

People who are in shape and have good diets can still have high cholesterol and high blood pressure as they age. These things are mostly genetic. Of course having a "bad" lifestyle will make it worse but it is mostly genetic not a lifestyle issue for people who take good care of themselves.

Unfair as it is , the cause of bad health - either genes or habits, is immaterial. A man with high blood pressure and or high cholesterol is not healthy.

And it has to do with aging. Most people will develop high blood pressure and/or high cholesterol usually in their 40s no matter how much exercise and a healthy diet. So most middle aged people are not healthy and most middle aged men will have ED issues. Ask the statin, bp medication, and viagra (now a generic) makers.

Let me guess , the women is the young one in the relationship

Women are so stupid

DP You would have to admit you are rare. Most 55 year olds do not look as good unless an actor and even then.
