Does he take ED meds?
ED meds at that age likely mean other vascular issues. It’s not a given that a healthy man needs meds at 45, 55 or even 65.
Keep telling yourself that. ED is more common than you think. Ask any urologist. Also, if he has high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, take antidepressants, etc. All very common as you age, they will have ED issues.
Those are not healthy men. Men who are in shape, have decent cholesterol, no psych meds don’t have problems with erections. Prostate issues may kick in as they enlarge in almost all men but even there diet and exercise can make a difference.
People who are in shape and have good diets can still have high cholesterol and high blood pressure as they age. These things are mostly genetic. Of course having a "bad" lifestyle will make it worse but it is mostly genetic not a lifestyle issue for people who take good care of themselves.
Unfair as it is , the cause of bad health - either genes or habits, is immaterial. A man with high blood pressure and or high cholesterol is not healthy.
