My landscaper hates me

I pay $25 for the same stuff. When I ask him to do other things, he charges me extra for it. I didn't see that the OP said she doesn't pay extra, just that he is annoyed to be asked. That is an assumption on everyone else's part. And if she pays $20 for the cut, it is because that is what he charges. If he wanted more, he would either charge more or ghost her. She doesn't control him. FWIW, the man who works for me is white.

I guess you are right; she didn't say whether she paid extra for the gutters and weeding. Still, $20 to mow, trim, and blow a 1/2 acre yard seems really cheap.

OP here. Sorry is 1/4 acre. Typo!! Anyway that is what he charges. He has a company with several crews he charges extra for gutters and weeding. He advertises these services. $70 to do my gutters. $125 for the weeding. I still get the sense he dislikes working for women. Just a gut feeling.

We hired landscapers to do our yard. They did a great job. 4 days later our new lawn furniture was stolen, and my husband’s workshop was broken into and lots of his expensive woodworking equipment stolen.

It was probably the landscape crew. Probably. It could have been random but the new furniture was delivered while they were here working and it’s was pretty nice.

I’d take a semi-surly guy who showed up and did his job over nice people who apparently are casing the joint to come back and rob you later.

We pay $60 1/2 acre plus $40 for a tiny strip of land at a commercial site. Our guys are immigrants and whenever we ask for extra work it’s extra pay. We tell them that is business is slow to come to our house and we will put them to work. Just spent $1200 on getting out back fence line completely cleared and mulched. It looks spectacular and our guys go out of their way to show up and do a great job every single time. I hope your guy gets a better offer from a neighbor and drops you just before the end of the season. I doubt he will be fetching firewood like ours does.
