Metropolitan DC Local Politics
| There are a lot of strong candidates to oppose her-I'd be really shocked if she were re-elected. |
Do you think that many people in Loudoun vote strictly on party line? |
People in FX and Loudoun do not automatically vote on party line. Comstock's constituents are the people the Repugnant Tax Plan are going to whack. She only has to open her mouth and speak and vote in their benefit. Check out her area's property tax rates. Add in car tax. Do a rough income calc-5.75%. House 1m assessment=11,600 car tax=1000 VA inc tax on 200k=11,500 mtg interest=30000 total deductions=54,100 Repugnant tax plan deductions=40,000 Hah. Will VA and Fairfax lower state or local tax rates? No. Has anyone Dem or Repub did anything concrete to help us with schools? Immigration. The great Reagan gave amnesty-the great O had Daca - and both made a flood. No one cares about people here unless we're illegals. In fact many in Comstock's district get little or no public benefits. Her district supports 2 counties and a freakin state. |
And now we know the true face of liberalism. It's "all about me". You really don't want to pay higher taxes to help fund schools, etc. You just want to seem like you do. I am in Comstock's district. I've been paying for every program you idiots vote for in this state. I've been paying for every damn illegal you let in. What's going to make me leave this state is not Comstock - it's you idiots who don't get the connection between your own vote and your tax bill. The rich conservatives will leave this state en masse. Then you can swim in your cesspool until you discover it's even too much for you. Then you will move to a 'lower cost state' and destroy that. |
You forgot personal exemptions, which means the total deductions is closer to $70,000. Which exposes more like $30,000 to tax. Although hard to know how the AMT kicks in. |
I was talking about the Republicans in her district, sweetie. It wasn't liberals voting for her in the first place. Do try to keep up. |
Duh. I am one. I know exactly what you are talking about. What I'm trying to explain to you is that you are mistaking liberal values for conservative ones. You are projecting....again.... Republicans in my district will simply leave the blue state cesspool y'all create. We are rich enough to afford to live anywhere we want. |
|
Yes, feel free to enjoy the myriad professional and cultural opportunities our ruby red states have to offer. Will Kansas or Mississippi be your preferred destination? If only blue states were managed more like those paragons of government efficiency! |
Bye, Felicia! |
|
Yes, she seems done.
|
Paragons of efficiency - you mean like DC? Baltimore?
|
And you forget, that's exactly why so many people dislike (or hate) HRC. But of course, you liberals refuse to believe it and just dismiss it as sexism. Typical. |
Not my business who they vote for. My point is those in her district have the ability to absorb the hit or simply relocate. |
Right? Kansas has some lovely areas. Those sunflower fields? Spectacular. We almost moved there actually, due to a contracting job. Would have happily gone! Not that familiar with Mississippi except to say that there's been some spectacular music that's emerged from those parts. |
