Kale is delicious IMO. Went to tuscany last summer and its in everything there. Had the most incredibly tender salads. They tske thr kale, slice it in thin ribbons and marinate it in lemon juice and OOV at room temperature for a few hours. So damn delicious. I lived on that stuff. Healthiest and tastiest vacation i ever had. Looking forward to heafding back and doing a 2 week culinary/cooking vacation throughout Italy.

Make sure 100% of stems are removed, then massage the kale with olive oil and salt. Squeeze it like play dough for a couple minutes, then try it. You'll feel less like a cow working its cud this way...

Given the cooking suggestions people have on here and the garbage they eat and shitty recipes thry post, Im 100% certsin 95% of them are awful cooks. I mean these are thr same pepole that suggest bringing a cancer patient lasagne and tuna noodle casserole. You can't possibly take them serious. A forum for real cooks is Chef Talk.

Ok. Go there then.

Someone please tell me it's not healthier so I can go back to eating white pasta, white rice and white bread instead of the whole wheat and brown versions.

Yes. I got the new spicey italian at subway the other day and i really wanted it on italian white bread, which makes sense, but no, i had to do the right thing and get the wheat instead. It would have bern much better on italian bread, the way it is meant to be.

OP, thank you for this thread. I love reading these replies!

Such a nice counter-balance to all of the holier-than-thou nutrition nazis.

All you yogurt haters need to try Yoplait Greek 100 protein. 14-15g protein, 6-7 g of sugar (that's at least half other brands if not more) no sour tanginess and so thick and delicious. Had the vanilla last night with local strawberries and it was downright decadent.

Brown rice, quinoa, non-wheat based flours, coconut water (except for the chocolate coconut water - that stuff is delicious!), hard-boiled eggs, almond butter

I'll admit that I love kale sautéed with baby portobella mushrooms, garlic, and olive oil. I could eat it everyday.

Kale tastes like dirt. It is literally repulsive to me. Agree with the posters that Quinoa is also disgusting.

Heavy cream is decadent. Ice cream is decadent. Heck, Triple cream Brie cheese is decadent.

Yoplait Greek low sugar yogurt is not decadent unless you are a kale and quinoa lover.

I hate yogurt. But I love labneh, which is made out of yogurt. I dunno either. Must be the olive oil, za'atar and pita bread.

Mushrooms also are disgusting. And I don't even need to mention kale.
