Blazer + Tee + Jeans

The French woman photo looked nice, but I don't like any of the others. It's a very Lorelai Gilmore look.

Y'all are posting skinny jeans photos but OP asked about boyfriend jeans. That makes me think 90s, which is this. Has enough time passed for this to come around again; that is the question.

OP here. I haven't had a chance to follow up. I haven't made any other post besides the op. I was asking about boyfriend jeans, however I do like the look of skinny jeans. Thanks for those who answered

Publicist PP here. Are you illiterate or purposely being obtuse? You must be the person whose posts Jeff repeatedly deletes because for whatever reason, you have a problem with me.

Your post changes nothing about what I said nor does it make me "full of it." All the photos you posted are from either 2015 or before. As I said, the look is dated. And I stand by MY OPINION of it, working in entertainment and fashion. If you want to wear a look that is out of style and no longer trendy, by all means, go ahead. You obviously know so much that you don't need my advice. But when someone asks about the look, I will still ALWAYS say that the look is dated and out of style.

I swear, DCUM has more terrible people than it does good ones. Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal.

This last sentence is rude. (New poster here.) And, "filthy animal" is just a biazarre thing to say.

I am a new poster and think most of the above looks are dated and just bad in general. I do like the 16:08 posts however.

Have none of you seen Home Alone?! It's a famous line from that movie. Geez. Lighten up a bit. It's the one time of a year you can use it and it's all in good fun.

I like only the Kate Middleton look of the styles above.

Geez, publicist poster, you are really obsessed with this dated thing.

Here ya go:

The ever chic Emmanuelle Alt at Paris Fashion Week this October:

E.A. earlier this year at at the Milan Fashion shows in 2016:

Lauren Santo Domingo at the London shows THIS MONTH:

Alexa Chung at the shows in London in Feb of 2016:

Those jeans that Alexa Chung is wearing are ... challenging. But are we doing giant rosette pins again? I remember that -- circa 2005 or so.

OP, I'd try all the things on and look in a mirror. See if you like it. Me personally, I wouldn't do navy blazer with jeans. Black or another color.

And if dressy joggers and a bomber jacket are what floats your boat, you should go ahead and try that. But I think you risk looking like you are trying WAY too hard.

Do you all really care this much about this stuff? Would you really pause during your day and give a thought to another woman walking around in jeans with a blazer and t-shirt?

Don't!

Kate M could put on a sack and look good. She has the height and figure. And even though she is skinny, she is not thin. She does not look emaciated or skeletal. Her arms, legs, butt are shapely, flat abs, nice bosom. When I try and lose weight my butt becomes flat.

I love publicist PP. Please don't go away. I will never be current or trendy. My looks are almost always dated, and most days I throw on a patagonia pullover, but I certainly love seeing what other fabulous people are wearing!

Personally, I think that a nice fitted blazer and jeans are a classic. However, the most important thing is to dress for your body and age. I would look silly walking in to my PTO meeting wearing a bomber jacket and joggers. I am no longer 25, and we live in an area that is not LA, NY, or Miami.

OP...if you like the look, and it makes you feel good about yourself, go for it!

blazer and jeans will never go out of style. the specific styling (cut of blazer and jeans, materials, shirt neckline, etc) may go out of style. but it's a fundamental combination.

Oh look at that, a bomber jacket...

Would you look at this? 277 looks from FW and not one blazer + tee + jeans...

I wonder why?

Listen, you can hate all my advice all you want, and maybe the looks I'm describing just aren't for you, but don't for one second act like I don't know what I'm talking about when I live and breathe this stuff day in and day out.

this is DCUM. we generally are not aspiring to mimic fashion week and completely redo our wardrobes every year. there's a difference between trendy, and style.
