Son left in same pull-up all day in daycare

What did your SON say? My daughter is this same age, and would be able to tell me if she had been sitting in pee and poop all day.

When I picked him up at 4 today he was in the same exact pull-up (I know this because we brought regular ones to school) and it was soaking through his pants and full of poop too. He just turned three. What should I say to the daycare tomorrow? This is the first time this has happened and I'm not happy.

Since it is the first time I would just make them aware of the situation. (I would have brought it up when I picked him up and he was soaking through.

This isn't acceptable but it could have just been "one of those days" for an otherwise wonderful daycare. So While I understand you are unhappy try your best (I know its tough) to keep a level head and speak about it calmly.

If it ever happens again totally raise Cain and find a new daycare.

OP is your child special needs? Can he not communicate with you or his teachers?

Does your child have a disability?

The place needs to be investigated.

PS, even with new babies, I have two, parental SOP is always to make sure your kid is fresh when you drop him/her off. You should have changed him into one of the dropped off daytime pullups.
Otherwise, talk to teacher, then director always before talking to DCUM

+1 Three year olds TELL YOU if they have pooped or peed.

So adults don't need to be responsible. Nice.

That would not have stopped the daycare from letting him sit in his own filth.

Please stop blaming the parent and child here.

We skipped the pullup stage w/DD1 & arent there yet w/dd2, so I'm not sure how these things work -- if they had kept him in the same pull-up all day, but taken him to the potty so he wasnt wet/soiled, would that have been OK?

If yes, then the question is really when did he pee/poop? Right before departure wouldn't be too bad. Can your son tell you?

If not, then maybe you should clarify with the daycare staff what their practice is?

OP isn't coming back to answer any of this because she realizes what an idiot she is.

Says who? Her son was left in a full diaper and she's the idiot?

Except it's pretty clear he wasn't.

PPs point is relevant though. When my DD was in the almost- trained pull-up stage she would often wear the same pull-up all day, like it was underwear, because she was mostly using the toilet. What if OPs son did this but then pooped/peed in the pull-up five minutes before she got there? That's why PPs are suggesting she ask him what happened.
