So, John and Kate have spoken. Do you think they'll stay together?

As far as her mothering skills, I can understand why she talks firmly to her children, 8 is a lot to feed, dress, move, etc. However, she belittles Jon in front of the camera, and you can tell it makes him very uncomfortable. They've shown the episode where she's always screaming for him in the stores-how embarressing! Personally, I think it's great that he's so interactive with his children-my husband is the same way with our son and I'm in envy. I'm not creative, reading books and moving cars around is my specialty. My husband, on the other hand, makes up games, runs around, and they're both laughing. I believe it's her attitude towards Jon that drove him away-she can be a true bitch.

What are the average IQ levels of the viewers of this show?

This cracks me up! We are debating whether or not to have #2. I am actually terrified to get pregnant with twins in which case we would have 3!

I can't imagine being jealous of someone with 8 or 14 kids.

I can't stand Kate and I'm a little surprised at my ire toward her, but I am definitely not jealous! Tthe reality show? The money? I wouldn't mind being famous but not through a reality show - would rather be a famous writer or actress or something. And the money? With 8 kids to put through private school and college, they really don't have that much. And if we lived in whatever smallish town they lived in we could easily afford that house.

OMG! Do you people have LIVES?

What I've learned from them:

People ARE gonna judge you no matter how hard you try and how well you think you're doing.

Kids can not hold a marriage together.

Never yell at my husband so many times it becomes our "way of communicating".

Some things you just gotta let it go. (i.e. fight over a receipt)

When you have kids in a far-from-ideal fashion (too many, multiples, single parent, divorced parent, unemployed), you gotta stick to your guns and do what's the best for your kids. No matter what people say. No matter what people think. Only you know what the best for your kids is and you should fight for it. People will never completely understand your side of things no matter what you do. Don't let that get in the way of the lengths you have to go to ensure your kids well being.

she's right. raising 8 is not easy and she deserves time for herself.

I work 4 days a week and have cut out a lot of this shit just to spend more time at home. Not saying everyone has to do this, but Kate travels a lot for media appearances, etc. Can't she do this when is traveling? On the children's 5th bday she went tanning.

I'm not saying it's wrong to treat yourself, it just doesn't add up. If you want to spend a lot of time on yourself and you have kids and you can make it work, fine, just don't go on TV and say everything you do is for the kids. Just don't be a hypocrit about it.

I know I know. I don't even watch this f-ing show. But I do read US magazine and watch the Today Show and now I just can't stand Kate!

I actually do have a life - a good marriage, wonderful child, a fantastic job, I'm close with my family, I have a house and yard to take care of, etc.

YET I CAN'T NOT COMMENT ON THIS WOMAN! Plus it's high time to procrastinate at work.

not a fan
not a loyal viewer

So my question is this:

After having two, why did she try (fertility treatments) for more?

I don't see why a lot of people are blaming Kate. Jon is there too.

Sorry -- another non-viewer. How did they end up with 6 in one pregnancy, do we know?

I have seen about 30 seconds, well, maybe a minute of that show before DH told me to change the channel. I could not live their life.

it's always the mom's fault. Didn't you get the memo? If dad helps out at all, he's a hero. If mom goes shopping, works out, gets a tan, she's a self-centered b**ch.
Anonymous
She should have a home tanning bed, just like Sara Palin. Then she can tan all she wants.

Hasn't she heard about skin cancer and the sun? She's tanning so she can look good for the cameras. Her attitude toward Jon sucks.

First time viewer last night. What's sad is the kids who are being taught they are so special all the time every day, every where they go and get everything they want. One day they will wake up and realize no one really cares they came from a family of 8. They're only interesting and cute as a group, not individuals. John seems rather stupid and Kate is a greedy bitch.

New poster. I don't watch this show either, don't read People or Us magazines, but I swear, it's like you hear about these two on the wind or something.
