Do white people get offended by the phrase "Cracker"?

As white trash with money, I don't care what people call me

Troll
I do not believe OP

Wow OP who do you know? I am AA and I have never heard other AAs use it to refer to whites. Except for Blaxploitation films from the 70s. Maybe, it is an age thing?

Lovely. But racial slurs towards others races are a no-no. You all suck.

So socioeconomic slurs are okay? How elitist of you...

That's not what I said. Don't throw grenades. It doesn't offend me, personally, and I am white. Again, it's a fairly antiquated term. But I don't claim to speak for all white people.

Any derogatory slur is not okay, obviously.

I don't get offended, but will answer with a similar slur in response depending on who said it

Given that AA are quick to take offense, I would think they would be extra cautious not to offend others. Its hypocritical to dish it out but not be willing to take it so I would suggest that all people work to keep a civil tongue in their respective heads and then we can all get along much better.

+1. I think it's funny.

Yes, of course. It's not cool to use reverse racism as a defense mechanism. I get the impulse, but it's still not cool. Kind of like when gay people call straight people "breeders." For me it kinda takes away any sympathy I have for you as an oppressed minority, because it just makes me think you are an ass, i.e. I don't like you as a person, regardless of your race or sexual orientation.

+1 Exactly.

It's the height of irony to complain about being a victim of discrimination at the same time you are discriminating against others. Outside of a stand up comedy routine, it's really not funny.

I don't care.

Same and I am closer to 60. Never used in front of me by black friends.

Gay people call straight people "breeders"? Okay, I kind of think that's hilarious.

I do hate the term "hillbilly." I'm not from the mountains so it's not directed at me, but I usually call out people for that.

How old are you and what kind of groups do you hang out with?

I've hear that term quite often and used it myself sometimes when I'm mad. I try not to nowadays because don't want my kids to pick up those words or traits. But I think it's still a commonly used term, at least for my generation.

lol, never heard of the term breeders. Too funny.
