How long did it take you to conceive and what was your age

Me: 30
DH: 30

2 months after 'trying' had early m/c.
This pregnancy happened the following month.

I didn't chart or anything, but I can feel ovulation (like a built-in predictor).

Me - age 36; husband is 37.
Pregnant on the first time we didn't use protection, so I guess
"one month" is the answer for us.

32- #1 -happened one month after stopping the ring. Didn't chart or take temps.
34- #2 Took three months of not actively preventing and one month of semi charting. (I had irregular periods with nursing so it happened within two months of completely weaning).

32 and we were not trying although we consider ourselves very lucky.

We are still trying naturally. It has been almost 1 1/2 years. Will get some help in the next few months.

#1 me 35, DH 33. Happened first month we tried.
#2 was an oops. Literally one time of not using something because I thought it was too early in my cycle and we couldn't be bothered. I was 38.

#1 took two cycles. I was 33 (weeks shy of 34) and DH was 30.
#2 took eight cycles. I was 36.

We charted for both and used OPKs with the second.

I was 29 & my husband 31. I got pregnant about a week after going off the pill! I had never had a regular cycle, even on the pill & know that when it is time for #2 it may not be so quick.

Hi there. 35 and pregnant with my first. We went off the pill in mid-August, conceived in late Oct. As with many other posters, I expected it to take much longer than the two months it did. In fact, I bought an ovulation kit which we never ended up using and was bracing for problems.

In case anyone wants to know, we had sex at least twice a day for 5 or 6 days (before, during and after) around my expected ovulation. Not gonna lie, I also put my legs in the air and encouraged the sperm to "get in there!" (much to the laughter and consternation of my husband). I'm sure this really had very little to do with things, and I did it more as a joke than anything else, but given the outcome I can't say it hurt to give the swimmers a leg up on gravity.

To those of you for whom it is taking longer...take heart. It seems like almost all of our friends were having trouble with fertility but it happened (sometimes with help, sometimes without) for all of them eventually. Fingers crossed for the one couple still trying.

Good luck!

I posted on this thread earlier. I was one of the instantly pregnant ones. I want to echo the good wishes of the PP I quoted.

We started trying at 35, but because it seemed like everyone we knew had trouble we just thought OK, we'll play this little game for six months and then ask our friends to recommend a RE. I honestly think that part of the reason we had such an easy time is that we didn't stress about it because we just thought it wasn't going to happen.

I have never known that pain of trying and trying, but I really wish I could carry some of that pain and stress for some of you. I really do. I don't know why I had the luck I did; I certainly don't deserve it. Good luck and many best wishes to all.

I was 33. the first month we stopped using contraception (has used the pill for years and then used a diaphragm for 3 months), I got pregnant.

I was 31. DH was 33. First time we didn't use protection - whamo! Like other PPs, we were expecting it to take much longer, and felt both totally surprised/overwhelmed and really lucky.
