| o/t but i curious what it means when kids have high CogAT (~120) but very high IQ (~140). they're not reaching their potentials? |
What test was done for the IQ? |
You can get opinion now or an actual decision w/ the letter mailed at the end of June |
I'd say that it means that the cogat test is imperfect, or that perhaps the kid wasn't completely engaged while taking the test. |
| Does anyone know when the results are going be out? |
SChedule says mailed out 6/30. |
| Not sure when official letters will be mailed out, but the schools have the results. I found out my DS is eligible via the AART. I am sure you could call/email and find out. |
| The school AART said that AART will not receive any appeal information. |
Maybe it depends on the school or whether the principal shares the info with the AART. Try checking with the principal. |
| Did anyone receive the appeal letter through mail? |
Not yet. |
Schedule says mailed out 6/30. |
| Schools already know. Talked to our AART & found out both of my kids got accepted. But technically the schools are not supposed to tell parents before the parents receive the letters. |
| What are the scores (NNAT, COGAT, WISC, GBRS) who got accepted in appeal. |
|
Today it was the last day at school and my DS (Grade 3) brought back home a letter (dated May 7, regarding Level IV classes at his school and about the teacher) from school with AAP Level IV Orientation Packet. Earlier we did appeal to FCPS but have not received any mail from them yet ....We spoke with the AART at school and she asked us to wait for the official letter from FCPS.
Can someone provide clarity.... |
