Black toddler called the thug toddler cursing, N Word and trying to fight? Racist?

Anonymous
Of course showing this video as part of a training for police officers is racist. It's painting a particular racial group in a negative and stereotyped way, and using a child to do it. What possible training purpose could this have for the audience intended other than to dehumanize another group of people?

I am not condoning it, but I grew up with a white step dad that called me names (shit head, little shit, dumbass) always in a teasing, semi loving manner. He grew up in a poor family in Oklahoma and this was how they showed affection. I was also encouraged to throw back epithets that he would laugh at and encourage. It was messed up, but he never abused me. I did just fine, I did not continue this cycle with my kids. This is how this family "plays" it sounds horrible to us, and it is wrong but if this child turns into a "thug" it's because of many different reasons.

All that name calling has warped your brain if you believe anything you just wrote. What your stepdad did and what these folks are doing is emotionally abusive, dysfunctional and ABUSIVE. Say it with me: A.B.U.S.E!
And yes this type of emotional abuse can create non-empathetic, hostile, aggressive behaviour due to low self-esteem, failure to have self-control and a myriad of other issues. Wow -- what a clueless response. WHO IN THE HELL thinks that cussing out a baby/child is not likely to lead to problems in the future. WHAT THE FUQH?

I see this every day on the bus in DV. I think it's a lot more common than people think. And it bothers me to think of my kid in a class where the majority of kids are coming from this homelike. People on welfare should be required to,take parenting classes.

There are also training videos of crazy aryan nations families and all the disgusting things they teach the children to say- videos where you hear children obediantly saying 'lynch em all' etc...

The point of videos like this is to understand what some children are raised with and how a culture is created when children (who, developmentally speaking, generally aren't reflective in nature) are raised to mimic thugs (in this case) or racists, criminals, whatever.

If you don't engage in this behaviour, don't take it personally or assume that others think this is going on in your home based on your race. If you do engage in this, please think about what you are doing and the legacy you are leaving.

I agree because only people on welfare are abusers. SMDAMNH

Poor kid. The adults should be strung up to dry.

How was the toddler traumatized by this? This is just common hood talk, the caregivers talk the language/dialect of the regoin. Should cps get involved with the honey booboo redneckerize as well just because I think that is a bad word

in my country children are occationally called animals. A baby can be referred to as a monkey, sometimes a lion and at other times any other animal, even a donkey. It is a term of endearment in that context

I think you missed the point entirely. The video was shown as a kind of minstrel show by police who believe that their poor black constituents are beyond saving because they are raised to be thugs from infancy. What could police hope to learn from this other than a reinforcement of stereotypes that they already hold about black people? Don't try to confuse this by bringing in the Aryan nations video example as a kind of false parity. This video absolutely has zero value as a police training tool. ZERO.

Does this happen in the inner city of DC?

We encountered stuff like this in our "diverse" school.

You are disgusting if you think this is the face of black america. This truly says more about you than anyone else.

You are sadly mistaken if you don't realize that this is how many other races view us. The majority of this forum alone imagines that we all raise our children this way and believe that FARMS are all black, dumb, and misbehaved.

That chip is so big, you're going to fall over. Who gives two chits how other races view "us"? I don't give a damn how ANYONE views my beautiful Black family. Make all of the assumptions about us that you want; we will be calm and carry on succeeding all over this world. Your view just reveals a deep insecurity in YOU. I'd bet dollars to donuts that you super over enunciate, have your children in all sorts of "white" approved activities and put down every Black person that hasn't risen to your level every chance you get.

You my friend are the worst of the worst; not the people in the article. You know better. They don't.

You are the insecure black person, not the previous poster you are attacking.Get help!

Fortunately, the child and 3 others have been taken by CPS.

What the heck does that mean? Unless of course you mean the school was diverse because there people who abused kids,as shown in the video, and there were people who did not. Diversity of abusers I guess, I'm sure you were not make a not so veiled reference to race/color.
