It is beyond my understanding that this kind of crap is not considered abuse. I'm disgusted. I work hard to make sure my children are articulate, respectful, educated, productive, etc. It sickens me these types of idiots have become the face of black America.

This way of raising children, by teaching and modeling offensive communication, has nothing to do with race. Happens all too often, more subtly perhaps but just as harmful to a child's integrity. ("You're a liar! What a brat! Wittle baby needs a bottle? Get away from me! You're askin' for it! Get over here! I'll teach you not to sass me! etc. etc.)

agree with PP. This is the image that sticks, and unfortunately, given the statistics on crime rates, there is always some painful truths in every stereotype. question is how do we stop the cycle?
