I second this - their string bikinis.

Another vote for these, but I don't have to deal with the c-section scar issue.

To those who don't like the Hanes - I have found the type matters.

Hate the hanes bikinis, love the hipsters I have.

I'm another fan of the DKNY cotton ones. I try to stock up during Nordstron sales (along with the Hanky Panky regular rise).5

+1 dkny

Why can't Victoria's Secret get the same cotton panties they used to sell? I must have bought 30 or more pairs a few years ago. I hate what they are selling now.

Not bikini, but I just started wearing Merona brand boy shorts from Target. They are super comfortable and have a smooth line under clothing.

Me too, and it's got nothing to do with the fact that I'm 15 years older. Seriously, you can't get away from nylon and poly in that store.

I love this particular variety of Hanes bikinis that I've only ever seen at Target or KMart. They don't have a thick waistband but, best of all, they don't ride up.

Try the bikinis at Costco. I don't recall the brand name, but they come in a 6-pack and are all cotton with a bit of spandex. Very comfy with a smooth line and hit above my C-section scar. And super cheap too!

+1 on the DKNY!

Great thread! I thought I was the only woman over 30 who bought VS cotton panties for years and was now casting around desperately for alternatives. Turns out I have lots and lots of company. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

OMG I am going through the same thing. I was furious when they changed the quality and style. I have worn the high-leg briefs exclusively for 15+ yrs. I swore by them and would wear nothing else. I have tried almost everything else and nothing comes close to the VS old style except GAP cotton panties. Do not get Soma, they just as much ride-up garbage as the new VS's and without the cute prints. Go to Gap. They are the ONLY ones left. Good luck everybody.

Me too, PP. Based on these responses I think I'll try Nordstroms for DKNY or else Gap.
