Who do you think is more delusional about who’s “in their league”? Men or women?

It sounds like YOU are trying to date out of your league, sir.

Women?

I think both genders have become more and more delusional over the past 15 or so years because of the internet.

With men, they just don’t get it. Other guys aren’t feeding them bs, they’re just too dumb to understand.

Why would anyone spend their time thinking about this?

Also ability to scroll on apps make women think they have too many options.

Yes, research. Anecdotes are just that.

Men tend to be overconfident as a natural personality trait, and this often leads to delusions about what kind of woman they can get.

However, our culture builds women up more than men. It’s socially acceptable to make fun of a man for his shortcomings and insecurities. There’s a narrative about men being worthless unless they have certain levels of success and genetic features beyond their control. We also compliment women way more often than men.

And the dating environment is set up to shower women in attention, so even a woman with mid looks is getting hit on constantly and especially on dating apps which are increasingly popular.

As a man I’ve met some very delusional women who are not attractive or high earning but think they have a good chance to lock down a tall guy with money. But men can be delusional too, I was very delusional about my dating value as a teenager but then reality bit me in the a$$ in my 20’s.

In college and in my early 20s I dated a lot of very “hot” guys but only three did I have a relationship with. My friends were always amazed when I moved on. Are you crazy? I decided my league weren’t the hot guys even if they were successful. I had a guy coworker for 3 years who wasn’t hot, though very good looking, but he had intangible qualities that really grew on me to the point where I finally realized he might be the one. I made a very serious first move and it worked! Later he said he thought I was out of his league. He was so wrong. You need to decide what the league is.

Women are more delusional when young.
Men are more delusional when older.

There's "Research" that shows women are by far more picky too. You probably pick and choose which studies sound good to you and don't even bother to check the methodology. Yawn.
