It’s that time of year- let’s debate comfortable but not too hideous sandals!

So, of course you added pictures of much better options that fit the OP’s requirements. Oh, wait…!

This thread has zero pictures and is a huge waste of time. Beauty and Fashion posters at their worst.

Same
These are all hideous!!

The Mephisto All Rounder Niro what I wore for sightseeing in warm weather:

I have sensitive skin and sandal straps often cut the skin behind my ankle. But I do own pretty sandals for going out to dinner.

They are $150 but I got them last summer and wore them all over London

These are all so awful. It's like people try to find the most hideous footwear for their super special feet with 11 different podiatry issues.

Are you new here? The 40 something’s of dcum love to act orthopedic. Did you see their list of sundresses?

Some of us prioritize our feet not hurting or getting blisters or getting really hot over “cute shoes” when we expect to be walking for miles in a city.

So post something better.

This thread comes up every year and there never are any good suggestions.

Stick to sneakers.

Y strap sandals should be banned.

Plus a million. Wear sneakers for walking instead of these monstrosities. Change for dinner.

I don't think it's possible to get sandals that are legitimately cute and comfortable for walking all day. Personally I just lean in to the athletic sandal look, but I know that's not for everyone. Here are a few I've seen that might work for your needs? Not exactly adorable, but maybe not too offensive.

The issue is that we don’t post pics because there is nothing that meets the OP’s demands of a cute but orthopedic shoe.

The larger issue is why every single forty something on dcum thinks they need an orthopedic shoe to walk around for an hour on “cobblestone” streets. Let’s be honest that these women aren’t spending eight hours on their feet on the back roads of Italy. They’re going to spend a brief stint on the very well maintained streets of Rome and shouldn’t need orthopedic shoes for that.

But cue every poster on this thread who’s going to say no that they really are the 45 year old who has 19 different issues with their feet.
