It’s that time of year- let’s debate comfortable but not too hideous sandals!

I haven't seen one cute example. And I agree with the poster above that would wear tennis shoes during the day. Functional sandals are gross for the most part.

Agree with these two posters. Especially because walking around in sandals all day on hot cobestone streets leaves one’s feet very dirty. I’d wear tennis shoes during the day, and a pair of simple flat leather sandals in the evening like these: https://www.jcrew.com/p/womens/categories/shoes/sandals/audrey-sandals-in-patent-leather/CR915?color_name=rich-taupe&N=6%20MEDIUM&noPopUp=true&srcCode=Paid_Search%7CShopping_NonBrand%7CGoogle%7CPMG%5EG%5E99107967821_20292484797___m_pla_online__9007769&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=paid_search&utm_content=shopping_ads&utm_campaign=JCrew_Shopping_PLA_US_All_Shoes_PMax_Womens_Google+_X&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=19965630204&gbraid=0AAAAADqAteCuL2AXKqHGO7c0duvvtbEOe&gclid=Cj0KCQjw7cLOBhDmARIsAGsuA0lREUN94oYgcXbY8_xDw2w1KRhX7hzU5144PvtBtFGHtci53J7kQpgaAsnBEALw_wcB#no_universal_links%23no_universal_links&colorProductCode=CR915

Literally sneakers are better than anything posted here and then wear something nicer for dinner ballet or wedge

I don’t think you need a back strap unless there are a lot of hills. You need side to side stability.

For me, Birkenstock Gizeh Flowers works for every situation except a serious hike or formal dinner.

Oofos!

I do not notice the shoe wear of others. I, personally, don’t care for the hiking sandal look, so I choose casual tennis shoes. You do you.

These are cute and they also make TEVAs that are brown or beige. Original and slim universal.
