The answer if looking for publics and from the DMV area is JMU in Virginia and Towson/UMBC in Maryland. There are tons of others as well, of course, but these are two very popular options. JMU is more of the traditional college experience, but Towson is awesome too if the student doesn't necessarily want rah rah.

Tulane's ED acceptance rate is almost 70%. It probably goes up to 80-90% for full pay. If you apply ED and can pay full freight, you can be half tarted and they'll let you in.

Actually I’m a public school mom and I say that because my FCPS kid wouldn’t get into some of the schools private kids do who have certain GPAs. Facts.

3.0 go to community college no offense. My son had a 3 in AP calculus and 3 in AP Chemistry and that's what I considered a B student. My son despite being extremely bright, he just wants to do the bare minimum and was still getting high 80s/low 90s (on rare occasions). My son goes to the New Jersey Institute of Technology. NJIT is okay.

No....You can go to Radford, ODU, Virginia Wesleyan, etc with a 3.0. The average is higher but the lower quartile is 3.0.
