STA had recent years where it was as high as 5 but last year was 1. One that I know of this year too. |
Holton had 3 that announced on Instagram last year (2025). Was there 1 additional that didn't post? |
| Sidwell had a couple of admits this round. Not sure exactly how many. |
| Holton had 3 admits last year and all 3 of them enrolled. Sidwell has 2 ED admits this year, at least. |
| No one applies to Dartmouth here . Florida west coast |
| Four REA admits at our TN private |
Guess what? No one else cares. |
That was 2024- my older son’s year. Our private Catholic usually gets a few every year too |
Ummm. Impossible. Since they have ED, not REA |
| How many of the kids at these schools who were admitted RD were deferred in the ED round? Anyone have any anecdotal info? Is it a lost cause? |
| Overall the admit rate after deferrals is about 5%. I don't know anyone who was admitted last year and I know a half dozen high stats kids (including my own) who were deferred from top privates. I think the admits after deferral must be big donors who pony up the development cash or interesting outliers that they use to fill gaps in the class. |
Really I just assumed it was like Yale. Four ED then it’s up on Instagram. |
Then they didn't take anyone off the waitlist last year but strung along a large cohort until the end of July with repeated emails ("send us another update"). It sucked. |
| I saw a BCC Dartmouth admit! |
Same at our small private. We sent 4 last year despite graduating class only being 120-ish people. |
