She didn't engage with him, didn't look at him, didn't date him, wasn't married to him, didn't work with him, etc. He just rose up from the seat behind her and stabbed her to death, then walks off the transit with her blood dripping.

I don't blame his mother at all. She can't control a grown man. She's probably lived a life of agony trying to get her son help.

PP here. I absolutely do not blame his mother and only have the greatest sympathy and understanding for her and this situation. I do blame our judicial, political, and medical systems for doing away with institutions. It's sad, but the severely mentally ill who won't cooperate and take needed medications need to be institutionalized and care for in those settings. The idea that such individuals should have the freedom to do what they want is abhorrent to me for their own safety and the safety of others.

Another factor in the death of Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte's light rail--the left-wing MacArthur Foundation giving Mecklenburg county a $3.3 million grant to reduce the jail population. Specifically as part of "racial equity aims.

Like Soros' Open Society, the MacArthur Foundation incentivizes local municipalities to make residents less safe by leaving threats like Decarlos Brown on the streets.

Time to investigate what the globalists and leftwing institutions are doing to our society.

I agree with you. The massive push for deinstitutionalization in the early 80s which occurred under Ronald Reagan was an unholy alliance between the conservatives who wanted to gut govt spending and the ACLU/disability rights activists who were pushing an individual autonomy agenda at the expense of the rest of the populace. We need more mental institutions and the violent mentally ill need to be confined in them.

You're implying that MSM didn't care. The fact is that it was a local news story--a horrific one, but essentially a local one. The video of the incident wasn't released on September 5, which escalated its spread and visibility. Most people these days do not get their news from TV. It was a big deal in NC, but not yet national news. Once the video was released, THEN the story really gained traction because videos are particularly well suited to social media like TikTok and the like. Multiple murders occur every day in the US. We don't hear about them unless there's something newsworthy about them. If the Charlotte perp had attacked another black man around the same age instead of a beautiful white immigrant, would it have made national news? I'm not sure it would have.

Oh come on. If a criminally mentally ill and/or (probably and, let’s be real) hopped up on drugs white guy - of which there are plenty - stabbed and killed a black woman, maybe a nice immigrant from Congo, I don’t know - it would be national news immediately. Her funeral would be televised. The usual people would speak at it. They would trend a hash tag. There would be think pieces and calls for racial reckoning.
