Probably not the best use of federal resources, but ok.

Have you seen the full video? It took almost 2 minutes after the attack before anyone helped her. Sad!

He did his time for the armed robbery. Are we supposed to keep people in jail forever?

There is no history I have seen of anything but misuse of 911 since he was released in 2020.

He was very clearly mentally ill, but we do not keep people in jail for being mentally ill.

Yes, we have all failed as a society by not prioritizing the homeless and mentally ill. But neither is a crime...

What better use of the federal government is there than justice?

Don't be judgy. You weren't there and he stabbed her multiple times.

People were probably in shock and processing WTF just happened. Plus, they were probably in self defense mode.

Listening to AG presser, the victim lived in bomb shelter in Kiev during the early part of the war. She came to the US to escape violence.

The supression of this tragedy by the left isn't going to work this time.

If his mental condition makes it difficult for him to control his violent impulses, that’s a powerful argument for his incarceration.

Lol. Trump's and Epstein's victims say "hold my beer".

Why is this crime a political issue? People get killed a everyday and don’t get this attention.

Why? The mayor’s reaction to the murder really calls into question local authorities’ capacity to prosecute the case effectively.

It’s also not a resource-intensive case. Presumably there will be a lot of litigation re: his competency and his sanity, but it’s not like the USAO is being asked to put together some complex conspiracy case.

Crime on transit gets a lot of attention.

Also the mayor’s initial reaction about needing to have sympathy for the killer played into a popular narrative about the left being soft on crime.

My prediction is not guilty by reason of insanity, but I guess they have to try.

She never said we need to have sympathy for the killer. You are either lying, or living in the same deluded reality that the killer does.
