US Files Federal Charges Against DeCarlos Brown

Karoline Leavitt just spoke for over 5-minutes about the horrific murder of Iryna Zarutska:

She finished it off by DECIMATING legacy media.

"Perhaps most shamefully of all is the media, many outlets in this room, decided that her murder was not worth reporting on originally because it does not fit a preferred narrative."

"Many of the journalists spilled plenty of ink trying to smear DAnIel PeNNy."

Because the mayor is a black woman Elon Musk tweeted his white grievance about it.

Crime on transit gets a lot of attention.

Also the mayor’s initial reaction about needing to have sympathy for the killer played into a popular narrative about the left being soft on crime.

She never said we need to have sympathy for the killer. You are either lying, or living in the same deluded reality that the killer does.

You're right - she used the word "compassion" not "sympathy."

You're lying again. You're just as bad as Decarlos Brown for spewing such a naked lie in your effort to destroy another person's life. At least he has insanity for an excuse, I don't know what yours is.

The mainstream media won't say it, but Decarlos Brown's own mother will. The mother of the man who butchered Iryna Zarutska didn’t want him walking the streets.

She had him committed once already because his behavior was violent and erratic. He was diagnosed with schizophrenia. When he came back out, he got worse—so bad that she had to kick him out of the house. She knew he was a danger. She begged the courts to keep him off the streets.

She’s not out here running cover for him, not pretending he’s some misunderstood victim. Her words: “What he did was atrocious, it was horrible and it was wrong.”

He never should’ve been released. She knew. The courts knew.

You people are tilting at windmills. Nearly 50 people per day are murdered in the US.

Why has this become a rightwing thing? Who are you arguing against?

What a bizarre preoccupation.

There is no history I have seen of anything but misuse of 911 since he was released in 2020.

He was very clearly mentally ill, but we do not keep people in jail for being mentally ill.

Yes, we have all failed as a society by not prioritizing the homeless and mentally ill. But neither is a crime...

He should have been in an institution for life. Even his family couldn't manage him. With his mental health history and a diagnosis of schizophrenia and 14 arrests, the judicial system thought it was a good idea for him to live on the streets and not take meds? The magistrate issued a paper promise that he'd show up in court again. Really?? Now a young woman has lost her life for no reason. She didn't engage with him, didn't look at him, didn't date him, wasn't married to him, didn't work with him, etc. He just rose up from the seat behind her and stabbed her to death, then walks off the transit with her blood dripping.

Amazing that if a black crazy man randomly kills one Ukranian it is a rallying cry, but if a crazy white guy named Putin kills 300,000, it is the fault of the Ukranians.

How many of those murders are random with the murderer and victim unknown to each other?

How can she expect the courts to keep him off the streets when she won't even keep him home? If she would have kept him home, Iryna would still be alive.

Probably around half, although there are sampling problems with the data I’m citing.

That's okay as long was they institutionalize him for the rest of his life.

What? How is she supposed to confine a criminally insane grown man? It isn’t her fault at all.
