Teen girls and casual sex

the chaperones are here in case of emergency only and to ensure the kids have regular meals. I am not here to police adult children besides requiring that everyone come home by 1am. most houses do not have any curfew and other houses have no adult on site at all.

policing behavior is on the parents who sent their kids. I am not going to wrestle a drink from an adult. if you sent your kid but they still require an adult to ensure they abstain from drinking or from sleeping around when drunk then why aren't you here or why didn't you teach your child how to behave to your standard?

There are probably 100 houses of kids. Every public, private and Catholic from the DMV and many houses from most schools.

But where is all this sex happening? In your beach house OP? Or somewhere else? Either way, not safe for these girls, and shame on you for turning a blind eye to it.

If they are enjoying the sex, then why is it a bad idea?

Troll. There is no way a tightly wound pearl clutching DCUMer is chaperoning this trip. Let alone letting them drink. Good try.

Ehhh, you’re not a chaperone, you’re just an observer. Not saying it’s your job to intervene, but if the attitude is that they can do what they want because they are adults, I think it’s weird to have a 50 something just sitting around waiting to sex talk with teens.

Heartbreaking.

I had one. Zero regrets and zero impact on my life. Not everyone is that dramatic

Many factors go in to how one feels about their abortion(s) as time goes on. Consider yourself lucky.

You never know how you will feel down the road. Not to mention, you sound like you are in denial to feel nothing.

Life goes on for these girls.

Exactly.

Is there anyone here (born and raised in the USA only), who never had any casual s*x in college?? (which normally begins at age 18, btw).

Half of DCUM mommies were raised in India or China (or had parents who were). They do t understand drinking or teen s*x because they never experienced either.

Omg they go to college in three
Months

If they can not handle beach week they should not be going,

Maybe some people actually go to college for an education.

It’s an education that’s for sure.

Some of you moms who say it's empowering for 17/18 year old girls to have casual sex can't possibly have girls this age. Do you not understand how much girl drama is within this age group? None of them are mature enough to handle the emotions of having "casual sex" with a boy with no strings attached. You call it empowerment or whatever you want but the reality is, many of these girls are going back to their phones stalking the same boy on IG and anxiously wondering if he'll contact her again or if she just got ghosted. That is not empowerment. Yes, there's a small percentage that probably doesn't care or are used to being ghosted but that's because they've been doing it casually since they were 15 years old. Sorry, but that's the truth.

I know what's going on for the first time in my parenting experience because everyone is tipsy and they share with friends and then they share with me. Conversation here is probably 1000 times more open than it ever is at home.

I'm having a hard time not being disturbed by some of this as the boys have apparently made it very clear that it's only sex. However, then I wonder if maybe it's all just good fun and maybe it's positive and empowering that these girls are doing what they want and what feels good. Thoughts?

It isn’t empowering but yeah, a lot of little sluts and trollops are into casual sex these days.

It’s not only in America. It’s a fairly global phenomenon.

Exactly.

I'm so sick of beach week. Wish it were a banned topic or limited to one thread.
