Trump vs. W Bush

Every time a new Republican comes along.
"This guy is evil and dumb."
"This guy is so much worse than that guy. The last guy was actually reasonable. He was pretty bright and sophisticated."

They went from saying Romney isn't one of us(literally a campaign ad) to wishing he were the President.

There will be another guy that comes along and liberals will be saying Trump was actually a good guy.

Do better. Stop being so intellectually lazy.

Exactly. At some point the careless American voters have to take some accountability for electing elderly unfit people in 2020 and 2024. Do better people!

Whereas Trump is pure evil

I don't know how anyone can think someone who wiped out so many innocents cannot be evil.

Obama killed a bunch of innocent people too but is not evil. Like Bush, he had to make some hard decisions. But Trump is in a class by himself - lying about Covid was not a hard decision. Summoning his rabid followers to the Capitol ("Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!") was not a hard decision. Unleashing DOGE on the federal workforce was not a hard decision.

When he's not punishing his perceived enemies, Trump is most often using his office to promote his private businesses (and pushing federal tax dollars directly into his own pocket). Did Bush and Obama sign multi-million dollar book deals after leaving office? Sure. But did these deals have any influence on their decisions as president? Of course not. But Trump...hoo boy. Just to give one example: After winning the 2016 election he doubled the initiation fee at Mar-a-lago to $200,000. By last summer the fee had reached $700,000...at which point Trump raised it *again* to a cool million dollars. Why are people willing to pay such large sums of money to join Trump's club? Because they know he visits just about every weekend and they are purchasing the opportunity to influence him. Then getting the Secret Service to pay inflated room rates for the right to protect him is the icing on the cake.

No doubt. Trump is the worst ever by far and Biden solidified his position as second worst when he gave a gift wrapped easy election victory to the worst POTUS ever in 2024. We can only do better in 2028.

There were activists in the streets not letting ambulances through when Obama was president too. Anti-WTO protesters, anarchocommunist black bloc and so on.

BUT that said, things were never this bad before Trump.

There is little good to say about an elderly POTUS with zero integrity. Our two most recent presidents have been complete jokes relative to those who came before them.

People hated Bush because his administration's incompetence led directly to the 2008 recession as well as dumping trillions into Iraq & Afghanistan for decades. But he wasn't a traitor and people didn't actually believe that he was like Hitler. With this administration, people are expecting a depression and are legitimately afraid that fascism is going to become a reality.

Bush started the Iraq War under false pretenses. Trump has not done anything that has caused that many deaths yet, though abruptly cutting off foreign aid is certainly killing a lot of people.

That being said Trump is less competent, more unstable, and aggressively trying to grab power. That's scary in a different way than Bush was.

GW was a bad president, but he wasn’t a traitorous waste of skin.

+1 GW didn't scare me like dummy and his heritage people.

Sorry but in order to be the president of the United States, you have to commit horrible atrocities abroad as part of the job.

Maybe Trump is more evil than Bush, but under the latter's presidency, infinitely more war crimes and civilian casualties took place all under the pretext of weapons of mass destruction.

There is absolutely no comparison between Trump and Biden and all the presidents who came before them. By far the worst two POTUSs ever and Trump is by far worse than Biden due to his lack of integrity.

Hey stupid American voters, remember when we knew better than to elect 80 year old people to perform the most demanding job on the planet and remember when integrity was something we demanded in a POTUS?

I’m fine with Biden’s accomplishments as POTUS. Just own Trump. You really don’t have to lie about Biden to make yourself feel better about Trump.

Nope, the Iraq War was not necessary, nor were W's lies used to justify it. It was an evil act.

I'm sure you really loved Biden when he rolled over like a dead dog in 2024 so that Trump could have an easy path to a second term. I can smell your MAGA breath from miles away. You aren't fooling anyone. Only MAGA idiots appreciate Biden in 2025.

I actually liked G Dub. He was funny, kinda dumb, but he was a decent person. I lived near his home in Preston Hollow in Dallas and he was very kind and hung out about the area. He was not a mean-spirited person but could be influenced by friend Cheney, who was mean but not crazy. No. This orange ulcer is not only evil, but dangerous. And he has a huge following and the backing of the 1%.
