I’m more horrified by how weak and timid Republicans have gotten. Trump, in 2016, capitalized on the natural pendulum swing after 8 years of the opposition party being in power and on the fact that his competition ran a rather lazy and uninspired campaign. Nothing Obama did "led" to Trump winning in 2016.
