Supposedly, Obamas are divorcing. |

+1 There's a clip you can find of pre-politics Trump and Melania on a red carpet somewhere and the reporter asks her "would you be with him if he wasn't rich?" and she doesn't miss a beat and says "would he be with me if I weren't beautiful?" Their relationship is demonstrably, intentionally transactional and I think she's comfortable with the price she has paid to get the benefits she has accrued (citizenship for herself and parents, lots and lots and lots of money). I do not think she loves him but I think she worked hard to get to her current socio-economic status and she's not giving it up for any reason. That, or she's his handler and does not have the option to leave. |
Hillary and Bill are intellectual equals who love each other intensely brain to brain. I think she enjoys the positive aspects of his charisma and people skills. All the downsides of their relationship seem really tied to his inability to control his appetites/childhood trauma or however you want to describe the seeder issues he has. If you want to feel really weird, read Rodham by Curtis Sittenfeld. I finally did recently and it was thought-provoking but also kind of gross. It's rather like fanfiction. |
I think she may have in the early years but no, not anymore, and it's probably mutual. They don't seem connected at all. |
She says they aren't and I believe her. He'd be a fool to do it. |
Have you read American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld? It's like fanfiction but about Laura Bush - it's so strange how readable these books are. You feel like you're reading a biography but it's all fictionalized! |
Nope. And I disagree with you that she's beautiful. I think she's very devoted to Baron and has stayed with Donald because she thinks its best for Baron (or, Trump threatened to take custody of Baron if she tried to divorce and leave with B). |
Lol. |
They were rumors because she didn’t attend several public events with him. Listen to the podcast with her this week, it’s actually pretty funny that people assume because she made her own decision to not attend that they’re divorcing. They are finally at a point in their marriage and life where she can make that decision and not have to do “the right thing” for the media. But the media runs with it anyway to distract from real issues. |
I think she certainly did have admiration and affection for him when they got married. And he "loves" her as much as he's capable of loving anyone. Now, it's obvious he's in cognitive decline, and surrounds himself with sycophants that feed his worst impulses, so she's probably not feeling the same way anymore. But I entirely understand that she doesn't wish to divorce. She's proud. Divorce would be a personal failure in her eyes.
I leave these women alone. They are not responsible for their husbands' crimes, and do not owe the rest of the world anything. |
What are you talking about? She was a model in Milan at age 16, then was brought to the United States by Paolo Zampolli who is the founder of ID models. Paolo then introduced her to Donald in NY. (some say she was trafficked to get US citizenship). He went on to form a partnership with the Trump Organization as Director of International Development… hmmmm. |
Agree. You can simply read the body language she demonstrates between both of them. She loves her son. She tolerates the orange. |
I think she cares about him. Loves him but doesn't like him, if that makes sense.
I will say I don't think she outright hates him. I know people say that because she doesn't show affection to him and looks miserable around him but that's just being an Eastern European. |
