Politics aside, do you think Melania loves Donald?

She has renegotiated her prenup every time he gets caught with his fly open. She is as corrupt and despicable as trump. She probably gets a $1,000,000 every month just to stay with him and make occasional appearances with him

Betting she has a separate appearance fee now. In the second term and during last year’s campaign she’s been barely visible.

I don't think you have to marry for romantic love and I think sometimes the ideal of perfect romantic love via marriage gets in the way of what you have to do to make a decades long marriage work (compromise, give each other space to be your own people sometimes, divide and conquer, work through personal crap that might mean the marriage doesn't function perfectly for a while and then come back to each other as true partners).

I sometimes wish I'd prioritized money more in marriage. Not because I want to be a SAHM and never have to work (I like working and would work in some capacity no matter what) but because money is an enormous source of stress and while I love my partner and we work well together, he can be short sighted about money in a way that puts a lot of pressure on me. If I could have my exact same partner but he has family money and a more pragmatic understanding of how money works, that would be pretty nice.

But also Trump is a wanna-be dictator who has done enormous harm to so many people, that part I don't understand. At some point you need to pull your head out of the sand. I don't understand how anyone in his orbit allows this to go on, it's grotesque.

Eastern European women are much more pragmatic like this. The whole culture is very get-what-you-can and they don't have the puritanical morals that we do in the US. Lying and cheating to get what you want are the norm. You're considered a loser if you don't have the ability to game the system there.

From the standards of her native country, she did very well. She married with huge gains to wealth and status, brought her parents over to have a much better lifestyle, and is likely staying with Trump to benefit her son. She's looking out for herself, her parents, and her son and likely doesn't care about anyone else. This is in line with the values she grew up with. She's a good daughter and mother from her family's perspective.

I do think that Ivana was truly in love with him though.

This seems likely. Also, she fitted herself into his world and didn't try for a career or attention I remember seeing an article about them with photos posed in his Trump tower apartment. It looked exactly the same as it always had, all the gold trim, etc. Not sure if he wanted Ivana to pursue a career with his company or she wanted it but that seemed to be a conflict. Melania doesn't seem to want one. She had her parents and child which was probably her highest priority.

Mostly rich white women who aren’t as intelligent or as beautiful as Melania is.

And we can't fly helicopters, either

No.

I don't think she loves him at all.

She may have in the very beginning. My personal belief based on no proof is that she was brought to the use to "work" (IYKYK) and they met that way. Then, Donald made up a story about how they met that is the story we all know...

Now that I see the Boulous family is not really a billionaire family, I see how DJT and family just make up any story they want to make it "real."

Please. She was never a model. That's just the story they're selling and some people are buying. She was average looking at best.

Yeah. Maybe a "model" but not a model.

Yes, there is. https://www.khon2.com/local-news/10-facts-about-obamas-18m-hawai%CA%BBi-beachfront-mansion/amp/

How did they get so rich? Who knew being a politician paid so well?

Trump has people pay him bribes apparently, so that's one way. He was in debt by a billion but is apparently rich (reich) once again.

Do you think Melania will be deported once Donald dies?

Anonymous wrote:Yes. There have been several videos caught of them recently “behind the scenes” type shots where she reaches for his hand and gets closer to him and has laid her head on his shoulder etc etc. I think the shooting may have changed something, or now that it’s the second term she’s more comfortable but she’s definitely showing more affection

Yeah, sounds staged.

Nope

She sold her soul. Don't know how she lives with herself.

Young? Isn't both her alleged age when they met and alleged modeling career very suspect? She seems to have appeared from thin air right when he began dating her with planted puff piece stories.

Kind of like how Selena Gomez, Rhianna, and the Jenners and Kardashians are all "billionaires." All the PR stuff about net worths and alleged comp is fake. Howard Stern is also not being paid $100+ million year for his 3x week show nobody listens to anymore.

Yeah, I think we are not allowed to say that quiet part out loud but that has always been abundantly clear to me. She's a "model" with like 2 photoshoots we have any evidence of pre Trump. Her bio during the first administration was comical in how egregiously fake it was, like she was a global supermodel who has multiple degrees and and is a polyglot extraordinaire. Come on now. And no, I don't think she loves him, I'm sure she's just holding on for the final payout.

Wasn’t it pretty well documented she was having an affair with a bodyguard or was that fake gossip?

Melania Trump married a man who has passing resemblance to her own father. Just pointing this out.

The Trump marriage is surely transactional at a certain level but so are most upper middle and upper class marriages too. I went to an expensive private school and elite college and it's striking how good affluent women are in marrying successful men. They are not marrying broke social workers or environmental activists.

I do think there is a relationship and has always been one, but of course that he was very wealthy and she was beautiful played key roles.

Must admit it's intriguing that Melania does what she wants to do and gets flak for it, meanwhile Michelle Obama recently came out and said she's going to do what she wants to do too and isn't going to turn up at political events just to make other people happy.

Anonymous wrote:This is NOT about how you feel about Trump or the current admin, more from a silly celebrity gossip perspective. You could ask a similar question about, say, Bill Belichik and his girlfriend. As in: a very mismatched couple with regard to age and looks.

So, what do we think about Melania and Donald as a couple?
On one hand, she seems visibly unhappy, apparently never sleeps in the same room with him, and like her or not, she's a beautiful woman, and like him or not, he's pushing 80 and obese. Who knows if it really is a personality thing.

On the other hand... they've been married for I think 25 years. None of the divorce speculations have amounted to anything. Also, apparently when Trump was shot at, Melania was actually really worried.

To be fair, people speculate about the Obama's marriage too. As with any celebrity couple. I do think it's unlikely that the Trump marriage is anything like Jimmy and Rosalin Carter. Personally, I think it's really a business brand thing. Melania is not going to divorce Donald, and it's not because she's in love or particularly attracted to him, it's all part of her own business brand. Just like the Kardashian family. She wants to sell beauty products and crypto coins and whatever else.

So do you think the Clinton marriage is anything like Jimmy and Rosalin Carter?
