I dont think you understand the premise of the OP. It's really obvious Jill loves Joe. It's not at all obvious Melania loves Donald, which is why OP asked.

Hillary and Bill are intellectual equals who love each other intensely brain to brain.  I think she enjoys the positive aspects of his charisma and people skills.  All the downsides of their relationship seem really tied to his inability to control his appetites/childhood trauma or however you want to describe the seeder issues he has.

If you want to feel really weird, read Rodham by Curtis Sittenfeld.  I finally did recently and it was thought-provoking but also kind of gross.  It's rather like fanfiction.[/quote]

Have you read American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld?  It's like fanfiction but about Laura Bush - it's so strange how readable these books are.  You feel like you're reading a biography but it's all fictionalized![/quote]
