These look good. That is more of a lantern shaped leg which is seen more traditionally/generally in Japanese fashion/culture.

She looks bow legged.

High waters, huh?

To nail the look, it should be slightly cropped or ankle length. There's too much volume if you let the hem puddle to the ground

sorry, but no one would look "cute" in those ridiculous looking jeans.

No it's good on me, trust

those are not the barrel jeans from the OP.

Eh, not really. I’m Japanese and not offended by this. But also the moms of DCUM equivalent SES aren’t wearing these, culturally-inspired or no. It’s the same beiges, taupes, and neutral uniform of “international good taste,” more covered up and figure-hiding than in US, with accessories in better condition.

Jesus was a carpenter not a fisherman unless you're taking about fishers of men

They don’t have too low of rise – I never really did that – and they have the perfect flare/boot cut. Love love love being back in them again. I see a lot of women wearing the barrel jeans and it doesn’t make you look young, makes you look like a 30 something/40 something old, middle-aged lady who was trying to look hip. Not attractive.

SAME!! Welcome back Lucky Sweet N Lows.

My sister has a pair from Madewell that are subtle and look amazing. But she’s 5’9” with a 34” inseam and weighs maybe 120 on a heavy day. She has the kind of body they’re made for.

I, on the other hand, would look ridiculous in them with my 28” inseam, thick thighs, and long torso.
