I think some of us are so indoctrinated into the idea that clothes must make women look as thin as possible or they are not "flattering."

This is something Gen Z gets that millennial women seem to struggle with. You don't have to look skinny to look cute. These jeans have a casual, classic vibe. They look lived in and relaxed. If I saw this woman on the street, I'd think she'd look cool. I'm sure she could look thinner and taller in a different style if jeans, but since I don't need women to all look skinny and tall, this is not important to me.

An externally ugly person can also be cool and interesting. Everyone knows such a person in their lives if they think about it.

These pants are “cute” in the way a toddler wearing her mother’s size 9 stilettos is “cute” when she tries them on and walks down the hall and announces “I am fancy!”

Fun, hilarious, instaworthy? Sure. But not attractive

Are we looking at the same photo? Those jeans don't have an exaggerated silhouette at all. Some of the others posted on the thread look ridiculous, but these are just relaxed fit jeans. No sexy but I certainly wouldn't compare them to a toddler wearing size 9 adult shoes. They are fine.

Who cares? Why does everything you wear is abe to elongate? I'm actually "long and lean" as a body type anyway, and while sometimes I want to accentuate that, we're talking about a pair of jeans I'll wear to run errands or drop my kid off at school. It's fine.

I have a theory that beautiful people + wearing the ugliest thing possible = accentuates their beauty.

I was born with pretty privilege and went through a fall colors phase. I had a burnt orange shirt and one of my friends said to me "only someone as pretty as you could wear a color as ugly as that".

I finally saw those pants on a person. She was a cute 11 ish yr old and they really worked for her. I strongly suspect they were zara. Zara has some really cute tween clothes.

Short women do not need to be told that these pants will make them look short and wide.

These pants can look great on someone 5'5" or taller, if a slim build (narrow hips, not big busted). You need a frame that is tall and thin enough for the pants to hang/drape. But plenty of women have that. Just because these would look terrible in short, curvy women does not mean no one should wear them.
