wear whatever you want. Eventually, it all comes back in style. My 16 yr old DD just raided my closet and took some Gap jackets and two leather jackets I got back in the 1990s. She called them vintage 
She loves them. I should've kept all my "vintage" clothing from the 90s. LOL |

Sometimes the shape is more exaggerated than others. I recently bought a pair but when they are on my body, they don't poof out on the side like that. The fabric drapes a little and they just look relaxed, but the barrel shape means there's not excess fabric around my waist.
They aren't sexy at all but they are comfortable and look stylish. I have really struggled with jeans the last few years because they feel so constricting to me, even straight leg styles. I'm also of an age where I just don't care so much if people think my clothes are dumb. I'd rather look dumb but be comfortable and practical, than look dumb and be uncomfortable and impractical, at this point. |

| I kept my jeans from the late 90s/early 2000s and I’m thrilled that I fit them again. They don’t have too low of rise – I never really did that – and they have the perfect flare/boot cut. Love love love being back in them again. I see a lot of women wearing the barrel jeans and it doesn’t make you look young, makes you look like a 30 something/40 something old, middle-aged lady who was trying to look hip. Not attractive. |

| On the right person in the right circumstances they look great. It's street style though, so yeah, you might look a little try-hard, or even "stupid," if you wear them to book club or the grocery store if it's not the kind of thing you normally wear. |

They definitely do! Mom jeans are in though. I am going on a trip next week and wanted a new pair so we will see how it goes. They are pretty comfortable I have to say. |
