I like this one and it's a good lesson for people who think they are so rich, classy and snobs......Am so glad these things also happen in "their so called rich neighborhoods".....serves you all right!

The original post was in reference to the post yesterday/earlier this week about some white couple looking for a $1 million house in a neighborhood that reflected their values or something to that effect. (Maybe that post was a farce).

OP here. I saw a tv show about pimps prostituting out teenagers. In effect, the teens are their sexual slaves, they get beaten up for not bringing in enough revenue and all their earnings go to the pimp.

I agree she's not an 8 yo child, but at the same time, we don't know if she was coerced behind the scenes. Compiled with the facts of a lawyer working for a high profile law firm and living in McLean, is unsettling. People can cover up their perversities so well, huh?

I do not care if she said she was 200. He must have known she was not in the 'safe zone.' There are so many women giving it up for free who are this man's age or older but he bypassed them for obvious jail bait. He deserves everything that is coming to him.

Agreed. Even if she was willingly prostituting herself out to men, it doesn't make it OK. Any 15 year old (arguably any woman of any age) who's doing that is very troubled and needs to be helped, not victimized.

I really don't understand why the OP is hung up on the fact that the potential child molester is well to do and from Mclean. I'm fron Mclean and believe that this guy is sick in the head, and that anybody from any background could have this mental problem.

10:18 here, I agree with this btw. Still, I can't believe that a lawyer would be so stupid as to commit this sort of crime while ensuring there is ample documentation of it. It's not as bad as molesting an 8 year old, but come on, can't you find an 18 year old hooker? Is that so very difficult?

Well, you know, folks at BigLaw are so busy that they do not always have time to cross the i's and dot the t's.

I did a child prostitution case. The great majority of underage prostitutes are there through coercion. It is not usually obvious enslavement. It usually involves a lot of emotional manipulation, beatings, and the threat of death if they leave. They are often escaping bad family situations and therefore vulnerable to being manipulated. They often don't see the first trick coming and then before they know it they are having sex with a stranger, and money is changing hands. They get a combination of fake love and physical abuse from the pimp that keeps them malleable. But eventually if they try to leave, the real threat of death comes out.

I would not say from what I read that it's child molestation. But it would definitely fall under statutory rape, solicitation of a minor, child pornography, etc.

Come on. You've given Arnold and Porter's best criminal defense lawyer a line of defense. I hope the SOB is disbarred.

What makes you think this 15yo girl isn't dealing with the consequences? Does a teen who runs away from home and allows a grown man to have sex with her for money strike you as happy and healthy?

ITA! This guy needs to be more than disbarred. I just don't understand what OP is trying to convey by stating the guy was well off and from a nice neighborhood.

Even to describe this as "having sex" feels inaccurate. To me that implies two fully consenting participants. A 40yo man who pays to have sex with a 15yo prostitute doesn't meet that standard. Even if she told him she was 18, even if she told him she was 20 - still not okay. I cannot be convinced that this man thought his actions were all right. He knew what he was doing was wrong and didn't care.

I don't believe that for a minute. He had money and access and thought he could get away with it. We like to throw around the word "entitlement" around here, usually for silly sh*t, but to me this is the picture of entitlement.

You're glad that there's a one more child molester on the street just so it could be a good lesson to rich people?

Yeah, I think I get what she's saying - that this serves as a wakeup call that bad things can happen in "good neighborhoods," or that money doesn't shield people from doing bad things - but she definitely goes too far with "serves you all right." No neighborhood deserves a child molester.

I don't GET what she is saying. Why does she think people in these neighborhoods don't think anything bad happens to them or in their neighborhood. That simply isn't true for most people I know in my neighborhood. I don't live in a $1M house, but I assume it would be considered an upscale neighborhood. I, along with the neighbors I know, absolutely know that bad things can happen and look out for each other and themselves.

PP is kind of a bitch to act like she knows what everyone thinks and claim people in her self-described "rich" category are stupid. Karma's a bitch and I hope you get what you deserve. I may have some money but I protect my kids like a mama bear and always will.

Why is this so hard to believe? Some people are child molesters. Some people are lawyers. Some child molesters are lawyers. Sometimes it's the upstanding community leaders you need to be most wary of; don't let their charm and outwardly perfectness fool you.

I know some very slutty 15 year olds who are already sleeping around and they come from nice, normal families. The man was 100% wrong but the girl is not innocent in this.

Right on, PP. Lots of 15 year olds are having sex with each other. This one was offering it up for money. She is not innocent and she is not naiive.
