What kind of birthday cake do you like for yourself?

I get one from Les Delices Bakery in Rockville - not so sweet.
Or I forego the cake and have croissants from Lavande Pattiesiere.

Last year I really wanted a chocolate cake with mocha frosting and a raspberry filling. It was a milestone birthday. My DD15 made me one from scratch and put a lot of time and care into decorating it. We hung out together while she worked on it, but she didn’t let me help. I felt so loved that she was willing and even eager to put in the time and effort. It’s a happy memory.

I do love to indulge in cake on my birthday, as I rarely eat it any other time. Either Cheesecake factory or I custom order one from Cold Stone Creamery. It's a fun, easy way to treat myself.

Sometimes my teen daughter will make me one. I don't expect it, though. If I could choose a cake, I'd pick carrot.

I am the reverse. Who wants to eat frozen cake.

No one. Baskin Robbins cakes are trash

I rarely have cake. I used to like this vanilla raspberry cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory but have moved on to enjoying carrot cake.

I sometimes get a cake. Love tiramisu, lemon or coconut.

we know, barb

Insulting someone over their favorite Birthday cake choices is utterly insane. Get some mental help Karen.

Almost as insane using names as insults. I bet neither of you is named Karen nor Barb. Can we please stop this practice which is unfair to countless, completely innocent, individuals who just happen to bear the name you’re invoking?

Don't know the name (def a zillion recipes like it online) but my Mom made me a yellow cake, mandarin oranges, pineapple, w/ a cool whip like icing - it's my fave thing EVER. I highly recommend it (oddly enough, I am not even a big orange person but this cake is DIVINE - light and fresh).

I like the Edwards Chocolate Creme Pie. It’s my happy food.

I'm not a fan of frosting, but when I go out for my birthday, I will always take a slice of pavlova if available.

I do have a tradition of ordering a box of high end chocolates to eat one every day of my birthday month. I look forward to it all year.

I like either coconut cake or lemon raspberry cake.

My favorites are pineapple upside down cake, coconut cake, carrot cake (the kind with pineapple, nuts, and raisins).
