Ice cream cake from Dairy Queen is a classic for all ages. |
| Ice cream cake is my favorite! I don't get it every year, but I do always get some sort of dessert or individual slice of cake on my birthday. |
|
It's difficult for me to like store-bought or bakery desserts because they're way too sweet for my palate.
So for birthdays I make my own cakes: DD and I prefer a fruit mousse with a layer of fruit jelly on top and a small sablé crust at the bottom. DS prefers a more traditional spongey cake with strawberry buttercream. My husband loves tiramisu, and usually tries to make it himself. |
|
I rarely get a cake, but I’d love a yellow cake, maybe with lemon in it, with a citrusy filling and a light citrusy frosting.
Or a carrot cake. Or a rich chocolate cake. Or an Ice cream cake. Really any cake on my birthday would be a welcome treat. |
| Mocha! |
we know, barb |
| Hummingbird cake! |
Jumping on the ice cream cake fan line too. Brusters is my favorite. |
|
My favorite as a child was Duncan Hines devil's food with Pillsbury box mix fluffy white frosting whipped in the mix master.
In my 20s it was a slice of carrot cake. Now it's a Baked & Wired coconut cupcake. My favorite is pineapple upside down cake. |
| Sweet potato pie. |
| Now I want cake. |
| Another vote for ice cream cake (summer birthday). I also love Costco cake. |
| ^^oh and I specifically like Baskin Robbins which is cake which ice cream on top (or as a rolled cake). I do not like ice cream “cakes” which are really just ice cream shaped like a cake. |
I am the reverse. Who wants to eat frozen cake. |
Insulting someone over their favorite Birthday cake choices is utterly insane. Get some mental help Karen. |
