It's rolled up further.

As a male, I don't mind, but don't pretend yours wasn't shorter than your mom's and these girls aren't shorter than yours.

Thank you. Oddly, even on the school's website, they are rolled super high. I just wouldn't feel comfortable with my daughter in an environment where that is encourage. She is pretty modest. And I'm not a prude or old (am in my 40's and also went to Catholic school).

It is shocking to see the Sidwell girls leaving school everyday with their literal asscheeks jiggling in the sun... but as I'm sure we'll soon see, a lot of parents feel very strongly that they should be allowed to make the choices they want, and that it's wrong to sexualize them for doing so.

+1

Just because they're wiggling them around as they walk past construction workers and stopped traffic on Wisconsin Ave doesn't mean anyone should sexualize them.

What am I supposed to do? Call the police?

It's their body, let them do what they want. Don't be gross about it.

No, it doesn’t.

Are you a “well, what was she wearing?” person?

No, I have no comment other than I was surprised to see they were allowed to have bare butt cheeks jiggling visibly as part of the dress code at Sidwell. I assumed the school was stricter.

It's not encouraged. It's just tricky to comment on girls' clothing these days.

My DD is at an all girls school and I truly do not understand why they roll the skirts so much. It isn't flattering and just makes them look kind of trashy. JMHO. I'd almost understand more if it were co-ed but this is all girls. So odd.

My mom, too. All girls Catholic high school run by nuns in the early 60s. You bet they rolled those skirts! Even higher once the day let out.
