And what if they're looking after a child with special needs? Or another relative? What if they themselves have a chronic illness and cannot work? What if the special needs or illness in question is invisible to you? Judging based on incomplete information is not wise, PP. You never know what's going on in people's lives. Have a little respect and humility. |
Raising well-adjusted kids is the single best thing someone can do for society. |
When kids are little and not at school, no judgement. After kids are in school, I think k there choices to not work and make their own money are keeping us in the 1950s and I resent them for it. |
DP. But I think OP cares what PP thinks -- they literally asked "what do you think?" |
Good for them. Their life, their choice. Hope they understand all pros and cons. |
How does this keep us in the 1950s? |
Well, now. Is that what’s called passive aggressive? |
Why? Is it because you are deeply insecure and cannot bear to be happy for those who can live without doing paid work? Usually extreme judgement is a reflection on the person doing the judging. |
Do they owe you an explanation? |
Entire family is lucky. And these women are also super lucky. I am assuming you are talking about college educated UMC DMV women, correct? You are not talking about the uneducated LMC women of middle America who will be destitute along with their children if they are divorced, correct? |
That’s a pretty low bar. |
Or destitute while married. |
I won't think its great or worse and how would it pan out for everyone, every choice has pros and cons no one knows future. If they were doing polar opposite, there still would be pros and cons and no one would know how it would pan out. |
That is definitely not why. |
Neither smug nor superior. Nope. I just am not giving them money because they refuse to work for money. I don’t understand not working but begging for money. Get a job! |
