Republicans drafting bills to remove Biden from the ballot in GA, AZ, PA

Anonymous
This probably needs to happen.

Not securing our border and failing to enforce federal law with regards to what amounts to an ongoing invasion is impeachment-worthy, and just as serious as the charges Trump is accused of.

Really it might be the best way to remove BOTH of them from the ballot next year and have a fresh contest between two younger and newer candidates.

But they chose to focus on importing millions of illegal aliens

Fair.

Not really. The grounds are baseless. The fact is, Trump "was engaged in an insurrection" - other than being a born American and over 35, those are the three requirements to be president. The GOP has zero grounds for this performative BS and all it does is further degrade our republic. So I guess in that sense it is on brand.

The GOP and Trump legal filings suggest Biden is immune presidentially for his actions and that Kamala Harris has the right to change the course of electoral college vote counting, so I suppose they should have at it next year.
I'm not a Trump fan but that is absolutely not a fact. It's an opinion. If he was convicted then you'd have a point. But he wasn't so you don't.

It’s not an opinion. It’s a factual determination by a court after a trial. By your standard, a conviction is just an opinion too.
What? He wasn't convicted of anything yet. What world are you living in? Ah right. The land of progressive make believe.

Do you have reading comprehension problems? No one said he was convicted. A court determined he engaged in insurrection after holding a trial where Trump was represented and allowed to present and challenge evidence.
What court?

Are you people really this uninformed?

That's what I thought, you were referring to CO's kangaroo court. The SC will overturn this. At least we better hope they do or Republicans will do the same thing to Biden as this thread shows.

It’s remarkable how Trump breaks everything he touches.
What?

Trump. He breaks everything he touches.
And that relates to this discussion how?

It is an opinion of a court after 5 days of testimony that wasn't disputed by either of the litigants. There is no constitutional requirement for a conviction.

Really! When is he going to jail?

It wasn't a criminal proceeding. It was a proceeding to determine eligiiblity to appear on a ballot. Please keep up.

Colorado court system including the state's supreme court.

An opinion of a kangaroo court. This will be overturned by the SC. In the meantime, Republicans who are far nastier are going to have Biden removed in a dozen states and they'll time it so that the appeals will happen after the election. This is a dumb move by the Democrats.

There is no precedent basis by which the supreme court would overturn a state supreme court decision of this matter. SCOTUS has sided with state supreme court in voting matters pretty consistently from Bush v Gore to various Voting Rights Acts and political boundary cases for the past 24 years.

Then you should have held every president accountable for the past 160 years.

Really this is just a stupid exercise in idiocracy.

It happened during the various court cases where Trump had representation and opportunity to cross examine witnesses and provide his own testimony.

It was a civil law trial because eligibility of office is a civil law question. The District Court in Colorado conducted a thorough trial.
