No, "leftists" do not dream of that. We are capitalists, but we understand that unfettered capitalism leads to environmental degradation and exploitation of labor. Ergo, what "leftists" support is capitalism but with guardrails to protect consumers, workers and the environment. Please show an example of where "leftists" in the US favor government ownership of the means of production. I mean, bullying a company over its own policies a la DeSantis and Disney is far more "socialist" than anything the "leftists" offer and yet... |

So you are good with corporations paying the lowest rates or no rates for labor? You are good with corporations selling goods that can poison consumers? You are good with corporations making their products without care to the environment? You are good with humans dying in the streets because they can't get healthcare? PP. You souf like a liberal (like me), not a leftist. I agree with everything you said except your last sentence. Perhaps I should have said Marxist and not socialist. Because leftists (and even some confused liberals) constantly call for equity policies that redistribute resources based on need to those doing what they can. |

And yet, the "leftists" policies have a 30+ year record in the US of more job growth, more GDP, lower unemployment and frankly a better quality of life for all Americans. So why do something that clearly hasn't worked when the Democrats policies have been clearly better for the country in the modern era? |

Wake me up when: -the democrats claim an election was rigged -the democrats use that claim to file and lose over 60 lawsuits -the democrats foment a violent insurrection in the US Capitol with the goal of stalling the certification of said election -the democrats push many states to election "alternate" electors that can be used when the election is stalled -the democrats to then install the loser of the general election to continue in office Because these are the things the GOP did and have yet to hold anyone in their own party accountable for. All in the name of control and power. (and this doesn't even scratch abortion, which is ALL about control and power) |
