Bride wants black tie, women wear white but nothing “bridal”

Agree with everyone. Do NOT buy something for the ridiculous request. If this dress looks fabulous, wear it!

You have my permission. Why would you need to buy another long white dress if you have one already?

Tie a black ribbon or belt around it

My guess is the bride will come in red.

Those instructions are so ridiculous that it sounds like a spoof of bridezilla. I’d try to cut ties with this woman. She sounds like a huge narcissist.

Wow this bride is totally borrowing trouble but you’ve brilliantly nailed the assignment. We’ll done

That looks like a wedding dress. I think you could go for cocktail length (yes, I know you said black tie, but any floor length white dress is going to look bridal, you want a cocktail dress).

My guess is that the bride will be wearing blue or pink, so you're good.

What a dumb dress code......

This. Wear it. If bride is demanding a color wear what is in your closet.
I think the dress is very stylish.

A cocktail dress is not appropriate for a black tie wedding.

Any wedding with clothing instructions you should just politely decline.

This trend of brides dictating guest wardrobes has got to stop.
Is this a little bridal? Yes
Would I wear it because who needs 2 floor-length white dresses in their closet? You bet.

What color is the bride wearing?

How dumb of a request. Sure, say to wear white, but “not bridal”? Come on. If that dress looks awesome on you go for it.
