+1

The dress code is ridiculous.

Wait do women have to wear white? I don’t understand.

It will look like a mass cult wedding.

I think you're overestimating how interesting these wedding pictures will look.

People, the bride probably wants to wear NOT white!

At least, I hope that's her plan. Otherwise it will look very Moon wedding.

I feel like its the length of the dress that makes it “bridal”? Does a white tie gown have to be floor length?

Op here,

I had a small Covid wedding and my dress was tea length and looked very “bridal” so idk.

OP, your dress looks very bridal to me (but yes, in a soap opera way). However, this dress code is insane. Since you have a white formal dress that you love, I say go for it.

a white dress with a print of some (floral?) sort would probably be okay.

Love it.

You own it and it doesn't need tailoring? Absolutely wear it.
What a dumb dress code......

I would absolutely not buy a new, white gown to wear to a wedding as a guest. The one you have is fine.

Black tie = long dress. Your good OP. The bride probably means no lace?

Yeah, are you sure you're not misreading the request? Can you check with the couple or wedding party if they really want women to wear white.

If so, I would choose an off-white color.

Kim K had the same thing. I think it's "trendy".
