He doesn't have an interview coming up so as long as he's happy and can see where he's going, just roll with it.

Dye it blue and then the whole thing will look very intentional.

If you haven’t had a terrible cut as a kid, you haven’t lived. Take photos and keep them forever.

The more you react, the more likely they keep getting cuts to piss you off.

You might want to get pictures now. His future spouse and kids (if applicable), will someday look at them with glee. As hard as it is to imagine, now, you nay even find yourself chuckling over it — eventually.

I'm laughing here OP because half the boys around here have a similar haircut!

Look, it's almost summer-it will grow back before school starts again!

But the kid loves it!

Get over it, mom!

Haha, laughing because OP's kid is about to be the coolest kid in his grade and she thinks it's a bad haircut.

If you delegated this to him, with no guidance…you get what you get.

Take pictures. They’ll make you laugh in 2 months.

You really need to learn how to relax and not get so upset about things. The fact that you're mad over a haircut is such a ginormous overreaction.

I’m learning so much on this thread.
Mostly about the fade parts of these haircuts and how much maintenance there must be. No wonder the barber has a line every Saturday

Op - no! He just took them as a surprise!
To be clear - I would be into any style of haircut if we’ll executed - I have dyed their hair green myself! But this is a BAD haircut. I don’t mind that it’s weird or different - it just bad. Also - dh has taken them to get many bad haircuts and we have fought before and agreed on barbers and parameters and dh went rogue again!
I am prob a bad person and should let it go. And I will. But we have worked through so many bad Covid haircuts and dc cutting own hair and found a place of hair harmony and then dh blows up the whole spot again. Yeesh.

Get over yourself! The fact that you have fought over a kids haircut is disturbing.

This thread is hilarious. I can't believe the things I learn on DCUM. Meet me at McDonalds...My kids are little so this is all news to me.
