What’s with the rise of Hispanic “white supremacists”?

The news media isn’t inventing anything. They are reporting what law enforcement has found. If LEs find signs of an interest in neo-Nazi and white supremacy while searching shooters’ homes and computers, should they ignore it?

Why is it hard to understand? Do you know anything about the history of Latin America? The US did not have a monopoly on slavery or racial hatred or discriminatory racial caste systems. Violence by angry delusion men is not new here or there.

The WSJ has a story today entitled “Texas shooter probed over possible link to white supremacy.”

The NY Post also mentions the possible link at the end of a story about the mall shooting.

Are these news outlets “stirring the pot”?

If you're saying they're stirring the pot, I agree they are absolutely stirring the pot.

Anything/anyone not having significant deep roots north of the Pyrenees, north of the alps, west of Berlin, north of the med — it’s not “white”

White is a very specific connotation.

It’s the ethno-social-cultural-racial heritage of the heart of the carolingian empire, British isles, and Scandinavia

Iberia was not part of it and 1200 years later it still shows

Aren’t they all Caucasian?

Much of the Hispanic white supremacy is anti-Black. Of course there is always a few few Black ppl who go along with white supremacy. See Clarence Thomas.

Right wing media has invested heavily in Spanish speaking radio to spew their hateful agenda. They play into Hispanic men’s misogyny (machismo) and anti Black/Muslim.

It’s not that hard to understand.

Good point

I’m not black but I am visibly poc and South America is way more overtly racist than South Dakota/Wyoming.

Racial heirarchy and how insidious it is way way way worse than anything in the us.

The Allen shooter killed a Korean family and an Indian woman. Coupled with whatever the authorities have seen on his social media, it’s plausible that the shooter’s actions were fueled by race/ethnic motivations.

Remember: everyone is capable of holding hateful beliefs against another group.

Seriously. The Spanish Empire did a lot of horrific stuff and was worse than the British Empire.

Whites are losing their jobs to immigrants even in the racism industry.

Much like the TN shooter, the manifesto doesn't matter as much as a mentally ill person obtaining a gun

Neither empire was benevolent and you're ignorant if you think the British Empire was less bad. History shows no empire is ever benevolent. But frankly told, I would never want to be at the tender mercies of a Chinese empire. Would you?

NP. They are white. Hispanic is an ethnicity.
