| Im 46, born in 1976. Kids are 6 and 10. |
| Early 30s with a toddler but always gotten the impression that I’m one of the younger ones here. In DC I also tend to be younger than other parents with kids my age, which I find strange because I had my kid at 31. |
I think this is key. i'm a pp who is 47 with teens/early 20s kids. I'm mostly on here looking at travel, a little politics, home improvement/real estate, and elder care topics. If OP is mostly looking at topics related to babies and toddlers, she won't see my posts. |

Mid 40s, had kids in my 20s

Phew, thought we were alone. We are 47 and have kids from teens to kinder. |
Same. Im 48, kids are 16 and 14. I started visiting DCUM when I was pregnant and it’s a habit I can’t break! |
| I read DCUM daily but I'm definitely an outlier. GenX, born in '70, with children in their late 20s and early 30s. My kids have kids! |
|
I’m Gen X. 45, kids are 18 and 16.
OPs post is way off. |
Another bicentennial baby here, kids are 11, 9, and 7. There seem to be plenty of Millennials on this site, or Xennials or whatever. |
I’m 47 with an 8 year old - so younger GenX, and know numerous GenX women who are doctors, lawyers etc. In my antedata, it’s more common for the older moms to be highly educated professionals. I’d be the discrepancy between our experiences is mostly due to self-selection and who is able to afford certain neighborhoods at different points in their careers, rather than anything statistically significant. Of the younger GenXers I know, I had my first kid later than a lot of them, but there are a few of us “old moms” of young kids out there. |
| I'm Gen X - age 55 with kids 17 and 21. |
Ha! You are the same age as my mom! She says she’s a Gen X’er. |
|
Gen Xer (‘74) with no kids.
Come at me. 😅😅 |
1970 here with a 15 year old and a 12 year old. |
| I’m 49 with a 4-year old. |
