More evidence of young women being damaged by social media:

The honors programs at Southern schools are also drawing out-of-staters. Sarah Langford, an independent college counselor in Chicago, says a student she worked with recently turned down an Ivy to attend the Honors College at the University of South Carolina, where the admitted students have an average weighted GPA of 4.7. “She wanted the full college experience but still wanted to get the excellent academics.”

I can guarantee you it was due to financial reasons (donut hole).

University of Georgia leans moderate to liberal.

University of South Carolina is a branch of the University of New Jersey system.

You still have to live with the state laws you got!

What percentage of young women in college do you think will need to seek an abortion? It's not the top concern for all.

+1. This isn’t a concern for my daughter. Think back to your college days. I remember one girl who I knew who planned to get an abortion but ended up having a miscarriage before she went. She was an acquaintance since she lived on my floor in the dorm. That’s the only person I knew. It’s not a huge priority when picking a college.

You never know, though, do you? It ‘s not like people go to college with getting an abortion as a goal.

People generally don’t go around telling their acquaintances whether they got an abortion.

The politics cuts both way. There are heading south not just for the tan but to get away from hyper partisan politics, intolerant cancel culture, totalitarian state governments, etc...

Good article in Town and Country on why northern kids are heading south!

The article is from November and was discussed at great length:

Well, we are a family capable of full pay anywhere. DD chose SEC school over higher ranked for all the reasons mentioned — tremendous support for top students, quality of life, fun. She has a good research job, small classes and knows her professors well. It’s pretty awesome.
