Not at the state level. I would add that breaking the Koch lock on Wisconsin will open up not only gerrymandering but all of the boards and commissions that Governor Evers has been denied legal appointments. What the GOP has done in that state is anti-democratic and unAmerican. It is shocking it hasn't received more attention. |

why is that "lol" worthy? it's a huge race. easily the most $$$ state judicial election in us history, and a win by the liberal candidate would/could change everything in wisconsin (very important swing state)- the abortion ban would likely be reversed. the gerrymander would likely be undone (dems have something like 35% of seats in the state legislature despite having won over half the votes). the list goes on and on. it's very consequential. |

No court in the nation came closer to siding with the Trump campaign in their efforts to overturn the 2020 election than the Wisconsin Supreme Court. It took one conservative swing vote to deny the challenges in December of 2020. If Dan Kelly had defeated Jill Karofsky in April 2020, the last SCOWI election, there would not have been the swing vote, and the Wisconsin Supreme Court's conservative majority could have caused a full-blown constitutional crisis. The justice elected on Tuesday will be on the court for 10 years. That includes three presidential elections, two gubernatorial elections and a host of other state and federal races.
So...yeah. It's a big deal. |

Yeah but… …frankly, the Daily Mail? Not really their speed. To me it puts another chit in the pile of evidence that Hillary was right all those years ago - there really is a vast right wing conspiracy. |

I don’t know what the Daily Mail is or why you’re bringing up Hillary. I’m just telling people here that this is the most important election of the year. Abortion rights are on the line as are gerrymandered districts. Will Wisconsin reclaim its progressive status? One fervently hopes so. |
