Oh, yeah. That's a big one too. Due to gerrymandering, right now Dems would have to win somehting like 65% of the vote statewide to get in the majority in the state house and senate. So even though they have a Dem governor, the legislature is overwhelmingly Republican because the maps are so bad. It sucks.

Are you OK when Democrats do the gerrymandering, like in NY, Ill, MD, and Calif?

California has an independent commission.

Dp- here’s a deal, dems ungerrymander the 2 or 3 states they’ve gerrymandered, when republicans fix the 22 states they’ve gerrymandered.

Don't be obtuse. The GOP does this far more extensively than Dems to. BY FAR. But, to answer you, I'm not ok with it. But until the GOP stops trying to undermine democracy in this country, it's not a top issue for me. Without Gerrymandering, the GOP would be far less successful in TX, NC, OH. Huge states with huge electoral counts.

The Dem will cruise to victory. Dems are taking WI back. It’s really the choice issue. It will be huge again in ‘24. WI is gerrymandered (as are other states, to be reasonable about it). My question there, for all you political people out there is, isn’t that a done deal for 10 years?

As does NY. In fact, the ungerrymandered NY map is what handed the house to the Rs.

Do you have a brain? Actual Democratic gerrymandering could reduce the number of Republican House seats in California to two. There are ten now. This doesn’t even look that bad.

Yes—every 10 years, I think.
