It took a lawsuit to get PA to clean up its voter rolls, even just a little. https://townhall.com/tipsheet/leahbarkoukis/2023/05/11/pa-settles-voter-rolls-lawsuit-n2623114 |
Extended hours would have been nice in 2020 in Maricopa County, given the massive machine failures they experienced. If you go back and listen to Warren and others, they were very concerned about mail in fraud. The CT video - do you think three trips for one person with multiple ballots was on the up and up? And handing more to a colleague to do same? What you people do not want is watchdogs of any kind in elections. |
Your challenge for today is to find that article at Mother Jones or a similar website. |
Volunteer for who? When you say Fairfax, does that mean you are working with the office of elections? I am asking for specifics, because I am interested. |
| Vos can still try, but it will be seen as even more illegitimate than he was hoping for. He really wanted these conservative (but not MAGA) judges to give him cover. |
I found out through my local party head who to contact. |

Wisconsin's supreme court strikes down the GOP gerrymanders in a 4-3 vote
“The court in a 4-3 decision said the court is also prepared to replace the state's heavily gerrymandered maps if the Republican Legislature and Democratic governor cannot agree on a new plan.” https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/politics/2023/12/22/wisconsin-supreme-court-rules-legislative-maps-unconstitutional/72010456007/ |
| Glad to see conservatives continuing to tell on themselves with the notion that no map can be “fair.” Of course they think that; all their maps have been wretched cheats. |
They didn’t even bother to make the districts contiguous. That’s how good of a ride they’ve had for 12 years. |
It has been the worst gerrymandered state for a long time and Democrats have been getting the short end of that stick. I hope a good and fair map is what’s actually used. |
|
Hahahahahahaha cry more, WSJ editorial board. I thought you guys were fans of textualists.
“The four progressive justices ordered the maps redrawn because they violate the state constitution’s requirement that legislative districts be contiguous. Yet the legislative “islands” they fret about contain so few voters that they have no discernible impact on elections. The justices used their existence as a legal excuse.” https://www.wsj.com/articles/wisconsin-supreme-court-legislative-maps-gerrymander-jill-karofsky-eric-holder-5624f639?st=2nuiodbdtiggwwm |
“It only a little bit violated the constitutional requirements and we want our over representation in the state! It’s not fair! It’s not fair!!” |
|
Contiguous is pretty clear. The maps were not contiguous and are thus illegal.
This isn't hard. |
